Every year, March 8 marks International Women's Day, a global celebration of women's achievements in social, economic, cultural, and political spheres. This day is not just about recognition but also about advocating for a future where gender equality is a reality, not just an aspiration.

This year, the United Nations has set the theme as ‘Count Her In: Accelerating Gender Equality Through Economic Empowerment’, emphasizing the need for inclusivity in economic opportunities to build a more sustainable and fair world for all. The campaign theme for the year is ‘Inspire Inclusion’, reinforcing the importance of diverse representation and equal opportunities.

It's time for our most exciting debating competition from our beloved chapter United Nations Youth Community, under the aegis of division of youth affairs,students welfare wing.

SAMVAAD 2.0 - Public Speaking Workshop and Speech Competition.

A public speaking workshop is going to be conducted under the guidances of Mr.Dheerendra Singh who is a professional anchor, Yatin Bhaskar who is NYPF 2024 winner and Himanshu Jindal who is a national debater.

SAMVAAD 2.0 is going to be from 8th to 10th of October from 5 pm onwards at Block 14-101 L.
So what to wait for,come and participate guys where you can compete and prove yourself.

4. Engage: To participate in United Nations activities.


The objectives of this Organization are:

a) To be a people’s movement for the United Nations in Lovely Professional University.

b) To cooperate, where appropriate with other organizations whose objects include the support of the United Nations and its development.

c) To promote tolerance, understanding, solidarity and cooperation among men, women and children throughout the world without distinction as to race, s*x, language, religion or political orientation.

d) To contribute to the removal of obstacles to peace, to work for justice, security and disarmament, and to promote the development of peaceful co-existence and cooperation among people.

e) To strive for the recognition of and respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms throughout the world and for the recognition of the responsibilities and duties which those rights involve for individuals, groups and States.

f) To promote research, information and education about the goals of the Charter of the United Nations and the work of the United Nations system.
