This page has been created to post the birds seen around Jambhulwadi Lake. However the density is less.
This is small lake situated in Ambegaon Khurd area near Katraj, off Pune-Banglore highway. From past 2 years we are observing good amount of bird activity. About 50+ species including resident and migratory birds (September – March). The lake is slowly becoming a tourist spot because of Bluebay water sport actives, lakeside restaurant and recently built Shri. Swami Narayan temple. Also, commercial

The jogging track is coming out nice and the birds have their space/water to themselves
Surprise was the Spot-billed duck with chicks.. seeing first time on the lake
