Appeal to the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India

On behalf of the Shaheed Major Rohit Memorial Organisation, we respectfully appeal to the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, regarding reports of mosques being demolished in Uttar Pradesh.

Our organisation urges the Government of India to look into such matters promptly and ensure that the rule of law is upheld. Using religion for political purposes can have serious consequences for social harmony and national unity.

India has a centuries-old tradition of brotherhood and peaceful coexistence among Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians and people of all communities. It is our collective responsibility to preserve this unity and communal harmony.

We respectfully request the Hon’ble Prime Minister to take appropriate steps to maintain peace, protect communal harmony and ensure that every citizen's lawful rights are respected.

If such tensions continue, they can adversely affect social harmony and the country's development. We therefore appeal to the Government of India to give this matter serious consideration in the larger interest of peace, unity and the progress of our nation.

Condolence Statement

On behalf of the Shaheed Major Rohit Memorial Organisation, I express my deepest sorrow and condolences over the tragic incident that took place today at the CISF Headquarters in Kathua district, Jammu & Kashmir, in which four brave CISF personnel lost their lives.

Our organisation stands with the bereaved families in this hour of profound grief. We salute the courage and sacrifice of the four CISF personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty.

May Almighty God grant eternal peace to the departed souls and give strength, courage and patience to their families to bear this irreparable loss.

The Indian Army is the glory of our nation.

Our brave soldiers guard the borders of our country and protect our nation and its people under the most difficult and challenging conditions. We salute their courage, dedication, and sacrifice.

Serving the nation in places like the Siachen Glacier, in extremely harsh conditions and temperatures reaching around minus 50°C, is one of the most difficult duties imaginable. Every citizen of India should respect and honour our brave soldiers.

We pray for the safety and well-being of every member of the Indian Army. May they always remain safe, strong, and protected, and may they return happily to their families after completing their duties.

: Request for completion and promotion of Mandi–Gulmarg road connectivity for tourism and public benefit

Respected Sir,

On behalf of the Shaheed Major Rohit Memorial Organisation, Buddha Amarnath, Mandi, Poonch, Jammu & Kashmir, we respectfully request the Government of India to take necessary steps for the early completion and development of the Mandi–Gulmarg road connectivity.

This road connection can provide significant benefits to the people of the region and can also promote tourism between Poonch, Mandi and Gulmarg. Better road connectivity would facilitate the movement of tourists, pilgrims and the local population and create opportunities for local employment and economic development.

We therefore request the Hon’ble Prime Minister to kindly consider promoting and developing this important tourism corridor and ensuring proper road connectivity towards Gulmarg, including the proposed route through Savej/Savejena, as applicable.

We hope that the Government of India will give this matter due consideration in the larger public interest and for the promotion of tourism and regional development.

We pray for his long life, good health and continued service to the nation. We hope that under his leadership, special attention and support will continue to be given to unemployed youth, farmers, Indian Army personnel, and the people of Jammu & Kashmir.

Statement by the Chairman, Shaheed Major Rohit Memorial Organisation, Budha Amarnath, Mandi, Poonch, Jammu & Kashmir

I, the Chairman of Shaheed Major Rohit Memorial Organisation, Budha Amarnath, Mandi, Poonch, Jammu & Kashmir, strongly condemn the alleged brutal assault on a Muslim woman journalist by Delhi Police.

We are deeply concerned that, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the slogan “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” and repeatedly emphasized the safety and dignity of women, such an incident involving a woman journalist has allegedly taken place under the present government, while the authorities appear to remain silent.

The government should take strict and appropriate action against the police personnel allegedly involved in the incident, as well as against the SHO of the concerned police station, if found responsible after a fair inquiry.

Respecting the dignity and honour of women is our fundamental duty. No woman should be subjected to violence or humiliation, regardless of her religion, profession, or background.

I, the Chairman of the Shaheed Major Rohit Memorial Organisation, would like to say that Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, Member of Parliament from Srinagar, is a great personality and one of the prominent political leaders of Jammu and Kashmir.

He has always remained committed to serving the people. His family has a long tradition of public service, and he has consistently worked for the welfare of the poor, the oppressed, and the common people.

For a person like him, it is very difficult to solve the problems of the people while facing the challenges and limitations of a government that may not always be responsive to the needs and concerns of the public.

I, the Chairman of the Shaheed Major Rohit Memorial Organisation, Mandi, Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir (UT), believe that the Omar Abdullah Government has failed to address many of the important issues and concerns of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

During the election campaign and in its manifesto, several promises were made to the people. These included increasing the old-age pension to ₹5,000, addressing the problems of SPOs, daily-wage workers, Rahbar-e-Khel employees and other struggling sections, providing 12 free LPG gas cylinders, free ration, and 200 units of free electricity. However, in my view, the government has failed to fulfil these promises and to provide adequate relief to the people.

On the other hand, the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has introduced several welfare schemes for poor and needy people. Under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, eligible beneficiaries can receive health coverage of up to ₹5 lakh. The Central Government has also provided free food grains to eligible beneficiaries across the country and has increased financial support under various pension and welfare schemes.

Furthermore, major infrastructure and development work is being carried out in Jammu and Kashmir, including the expansion and improvement of national highways. Under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, thousands of people have received support, training and assistance to strengthen their skills and self-employment opportunities.

In my opinion, the National Conference Government in Jammu and Kashmir has been unable to effectively resolve many of the important problems faced by the people. The people deserve that the promises made to them should be fulfilled and that practical steps should be taken to address their genuine concerns.

I, the Chairman of Shaheed Major Rohit Memorial NGO, Budha Amarnath, Mandi, Poonch, Jammu & Kashmir, strongly condemn the increase in electricity tariffs by the Jammu & Kashmir Government. At a time when the people of Jammu & Kashmir are already facing severe inflation and financial difficulties, increasing electricity charges has placed an additional burden on the common man.

Daily-wage workers, labourers, poor families and ordinary citizens are already struggling to cope with rising prices of essential commodities. The decision to increase electricity tariffs at such a difficult time will further worsen their financial problems.

We strongly oppose this decision and appeal to the Jammu & Kashmir Government to reconsider the increase and provide relief to the common people. The government should stand with the poor and working-class people rather than adding to their hardships.
