Huge Rat Snake Rescue & Safe Release in Nature 🐍🌿

We successfully rescued a 7-foot long Rat Snake from a compost pit.

The snake was hiding deep inside the pit, and interestingly I was standing right on top of it without realizing! When we started digging, we noticed the soil slowly moving, which immediately told us something was underneath.

As we continued carefully, a massive Rat Snake emerged from the soil. During the process, while jumping into the pit to manage the rescue, I slipped and fell inside, but thankfully there were no injuries.

The snake was safely handled and released back into its natural habitat, where it belongs. 🌿

Rat snakes are non-venomous and extremely beneficial for the ecosystem, especially because they help control rodents.

Another rescue completed and another beautiful creature returned safely to nature. 🙏🐍

Super Tough Rescue on Republic Day 🇮🇳🐍

Received a distress call about a snake near a residential house. What looked like a routine rescue quickly turned into one of the toughest operations I’ve handled.

As soon as I reached the spot, the snake disappeared into a hole near the drainage line. When I managed to grab its tail, I had no idea that the next 1.5 hours would be a real test of patience, strength, and teamwork. The snake turned out to be a 5-feet-long Rat Snake, tightly stuck around a drainage pipe and tangled near a lime tree’s roots.

While I held almost half of the snake firmly in my hands, local residents put in tremendous effort—digging the soil around the drainage pipe inch by inch. There I was, drenched in sweat, covered in dust, soil, and mud from head to toe, refusing to loosen my grip for a second.

Finally… he came out.

What a moment of relief. The rescue was successful. And then came the most important part of all—safe release back into its natural habitat.

Exhausted, dirty, but deeply satisfied. This Republic Day reminded me once again why every life matters. 🇮🇳🐍
