🌱💧Over 100 students from the National Service Scheme (NSS), COEP Technological University, participated in the 'Maha-Walkathon - Run for Soil & Water 2026', organised by the Department of Soil and Water Conservation, Government of Maharashtra, on the occasion of Water Conservation Day.

The NSS volunteers actively spread awareness about soil and water conservation through placards and impactful slogans such as "Save Water, Save Soil, Build a Secure Future" and "Conserve Water, Protect Soil, Secure the Future."

The walkathon covered key routes across Pune, beginning and concluding at the Police Parade Ground, Shivajinagar. The students participated under the guidance of Dr. Mahesh Shindikar, Dr. Balkrishna Dawari, Mrs. Rashmi Kulkarni, and Dr. Avinash Khandizod. They also took the Sadbhavana Day pledge.

The initiative reinforced the importance of collective action towards water conservation, soil protection, and a sustainable future.🌏

🎓 3rd Convocation | COEP Technological University

COEP Technological University celebrated the academic achievements of the 2025–26 graduating batch at its 3rd Convocation.

The dignitaries present on the dais included Hon. Jishnu Dev Varma, Governor of Maharashtra and Chancellor of State Universities; Hon. Chandrakant Patil, Minister of Higher & Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra; Shri Vinayak Pai, Chairman, Board of Governors; Prof. Sunil Bhirud, Vice-Chancellor; Dr. Dayaram N. Sonawane, Registrar; Dr. Yashodhara V. Haribhakt, Director, Board of Examinations and Evaluation; Dr. Prashant Narnaware, Governor’s Secretary; Prof. Parag Sadgir, Dean, Engineering; and Prof. C. Y. The Convocation brought together dignitaries, Deans, Directors, faculty members, students, parents and members of the COEP fraternity to celebrate the achievements of the graduating batch.

COEP Technological University celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with patriotic spirit, unity and a strong sense of national pride.

The celebrations commenced with garlanding the statue of Sir M. Visvesvaraya, followed by the flag hoisting ceremony.

The programme also featured a parade by the NSS 21 Battalion, a Nasha Mukti Street Play spreading awareness about the importance of a drug-free society, and a vibrant Tiranga Rally by the COEP Tech community under the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan.

The occasion was graced by Prof. Sunil Bhirud, Vice-Chancellor; Dr. D. N. Sonawane, Registrar; Prof. Parag A. Sadgir, Dean, School of Engineering and Technology; Dr. C. Y. Service to Society: Sustaining Community Engagement through NSS

As part of this commitment, the COEP Tech NSS Unit conducted a Post Visit to Ugalewadi, reconnecting with the village community following the NSS Special Camp. During the visit, volunteers interacted with residents, reviewed the progress of activities undertaken during the camp, and strengthened the bonds established through continued engagement. In collaboration with Helping Hearts NGO, the team also distributed school kits to children, supporting their educational needs.

A survey was also conducted to assess the impact of the recent floods and other natural calamities on the village, with the aim of understanding the challenges faced by farmers and residents and supporting future rehabilitation and upliftment initiatives.

The initiative was undertaken under the leadership of Prof. Sunil Bhirud, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, with the guidance of Dr. D. N. Sonawane, Registrar. The visit was coordinated by Mrs. Rashmi Shrikant Kulkarni, whose efforts ensured the smooth implementation of the programme.

The visit reflected the NSS spirit of sustained community engagement and meaningful social contribution.

COEP Technological University is proud of the Robot Study Circle (RSC) and its exceptional students for achieving remarkable success at two prestigious national robotics competitions.

At DD Robocon 2026, held at IIT Delhi, Team RSC secured AIR 1 (All India Rank 1) in the Autodesk Fusion Generative Design Award, competing against 42 teams nationwide and winning a cash prize of ₹25,000.

Continuing their winning streak, the team also excelled at Robotex India 2026, securing:
🏆 2nd Place – Folk Race
🏆 3rd Place – Mega Sumo

These achievements have earned Team RSC the honour of representing India at Robotex International 2026 in Seoul, South Korea.

A New Milestone Towards Research, Innovation & Nation Building

We are proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between COEP Technological University, Gramdhenu Engineering, and Labguruji Educations Pvt. Ltd. for the establishment of the Dr. Vikram Sarabhai Center of Excellence for Radar & Advanced Electromagnetics.

The Centre of Excellence is envisioned as an open collaborative platform dedicated to nurturing student talent, promoting advanced research, strengthening industry–academia collaboration, and contributing to industrial growth and nation building. It will bring together students, researchers, academicians, and industry experts to drive innovation in radar and advanced electromagnetic technologies. We welcome all institutions, researchers, and industry partners who wish to collaborate and contribute to this shared vision.

The MoU was signed in the gracious presence of Dr. Sunil Bhirud, Vice Chancellor, COEP Technological University; Mr. Dhanesh Bora, Director, Gramdhenu Engineering; Mr. Pratap Pawar, Director, Labguruji Educations Pvt. The Orientation Programme for the admitted M.Tech. students of COEP Technological University was held on 14 July 2026.

This year, a total of 605 students secured admission to the M.Tech. programmes through various rounds across multiple engineering disciplines.

The programme was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sunil Bhirud, Registrar Dr. D. N. Sonawane, Dean, School of Engineering and Technology, Dr. Parag A. Sadgir, Dean, School of Multidisciplinary Sciences, Humanities and Management Studies, Dr. C. Y. Patil, along with Directors, Associate Deans, faculty members, admitted students and parents.

The admission process was coordinated by Dr. Sunil B. Mane, Dr. Maheshwar D. Jaybhaye and the admissions team.
The orientation introduced the admitted students to the academic and research environment at COEP Technological University.

Palkhi 2026 | A Tradition of Faith, Service, and Community

The sacred Ashadhi Wari Palkhi is one of Maharashtra's most cherished spiritual traditions, bringing together lakhs of Warkaris on their pilgrimage to Pandharpur in devotion to Lord Vitthal.

Every year, the Palkhi procession passes by COEP Technological University, offering our students, faculty, staff, and volunteers a meaningful opportunity to serve the Warkaris through various support initiatives. This tradition reflects the values of seva (selfless service), compassion, discipline, and community participation.

For the COEP Tech community, the Palkhi is more than a procession-it is an occasion to uphold Maharashtra's rich cultural heritage while contributing to the comfort and well-being of thousands of devotees undertaking this historic journey.

Strengthening Healthcare Access for the COEP Community

COEP Technological University has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sancheti Advanced Orthocare Hospital and Sancheti Institute for Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation to strengthen healthcare support and improve medical accessibility for students, alumni, faculty, staff, and their dependents.

The collaboration aims to provide timely and structured medical assistance through OPD and IPD services, emergency care support, and streamlined room allocation facilities, ensuring easier access to quality healthcare for the COEP community. With the hospital located in close proximity to the University hostels, this partnership is expected to play an important role in supporting student welfare and overall campus well-being. The MoU also envisions organizing health awareness sessions, preventive care initiatives, and continuous educational interactions to promote healthcare awareness and a stronger culture of wellness within the University.

The MoU was formalized in the presence of Prof. Sunil Bhirud, Hon. Vice-Chancellor, COEP Technological University, Dr. D. N. Sonawane, Registrar, Mr. Mahajan, Dr. M. P. Khond, Dr. M. R. Shindikar and Mrs. Aarti A. Paygude from COEP Technological University.

Representing Sancheti were Dr. Parag Sancheti, Mrs. Rupal Sancheti, Dr. Yashvanth Shivanna, Mrs. Suneetha Rocha, and Mr. Pratik Kondhalkar, along with senior representatives from the institution.

A step towards the future of smart manufacturing!

COEP Technological University inaugurated the Siemens SAMBHAV Connected Smart Factory Lab in the Department of Mechanical Engineering on 30th June 2026, under its MoU with Siemens Industry Software (India) Pvt. Ltd., strengthening industry-academia collaboration in advanced manufacturing technologies.

The lab is designed to equip students with practical exposure to Industry 4.0 technologies, including Digital Twin, Industrial Automation, Robotics, Simulation, IoT, and Smart Production Systems, creating an ecosystem where engineering concepts can be transformed into real-world manufacturing solutions. Through this facility, students will gain hands-on experience in manufacturing workflows, process optimization, and digital transformation tools-enhancing their technical expertise, innovation capabilities, and industry readiness.

3D Engineering Automation LLP served as the ex*****on partner for the establishment of the Siemens SAMBHAV Connected Smart Factory Lab, supporting the implementation and integration of the lab’s advanced Industry 4.0 technologies.
