Every third Friday, we unplug, switch off, and come together for one mindful hour dedicated to the planet.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 | 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 (𝗙𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱–𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲) 🌱

𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 (𝗦𝗜) is proud to announce the successful completion of the 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 in collaboration with 𝗧𝗔𝗖𝗢 , implemented across 4 Zilla Parishad schools in Taluka Khed (Chakan).

This initiative focused on building environmentally sustainable school ecosystems while fostering awareness and responsible practices among students and communities.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 & 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁:
☀️ Solar PV systems installed promoting clean energy adoption and reducing grid dependency

💧 Rainwater harvesting systems implemented with efficiency ranging from 93.64% – 136.01%

🚰 Low-flow taps installed, resulting in ~11,15,100 litres of water saved annually

♻️ Composting units operational, contributing to ~985.5 kg CO₂e reduction per ton/year

🌳 Tree plantation initiatives, with an absorption potential of ~20–22 kg CO₂ per tree annually

👩‍🏫 500+ students, teachers and staff engaged through environmental awareness and behavioural change programs

These interventions collectively contribute to reducing the carbon footprint, improving resource efficiency, and creating climate-resilient school environments.

At SI, we believe that sustainable change begins with education and community engagement. This project stands as a scalable model for integrating sustainability into rural school ecosystems. What does health really mean? 🤔

To find out, SI conducted a fun poll among VK Group’s male and female employees this World Health Day exploring what we often overlook when we talk about health.

The responses revealed an interesting insight while lifestyle and mental well-being remain top of mind, environmental factors like air quality and surroundings are often underestimated.

This World Health Day, it’s time to look beyond the obvious and rethink health as something that is not just personal but deeply environmental.

Because what we overlook today shapes our health tomorrow. 🧑🏻‍⚕️

International Zero Waste Day | 30 March ♻️

This Zero Waste Day, SI along with employees of the VK Group turned intent into action—coming together through a self-driven pledge to make mindful, sustainable choices every day. From reusing, upcycling, and reducing waste to embracing eco-friendly alternatives, each small step reflects a bigger commitment towards a cleaner future.

Through this experiential learning session at Pooja Niwas, Katraj — developed by Gangotree Homes — SI enabled students to witness real-time implementation of green building practices in an IGBC Gold Certified residential project 🏅🌍
