CROCODILE SAFARI:
There are lot many attractions for tourist in Konkan. Maldoli village is one of the attractions located near Chiplun on the bank of Vashishti river. The main attraction of this village is Crocodile Safari there are lot many crocodiles in the river who are freely resides in this river, along with that the picturesque nature and the different types of birds attracts the tourists.

GOVALKOT FORT(GOVINDGAD):
Gowalkot Fort is a small hill fort situated near the city of Chiplun in Maharashtra’s Ratnagiri district. The fort is located on the southern bank of the Vashishti River. Spread over 2 acres of land, Gowalkot Fort is surrounded by the river on three sides and a trench on the fourth side. Today, the fort is in ruins, but still worth visiting owing to the beautiful views it offers.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj conquered this fort in 1660 and renamed it as Govindgad. However, his son Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj lost the fort to the Siddis. In 1736, Chimaji Appa, the younger brother Peshwa Bajirao killed king Siddi Sat in battle and took over Gowalkot Fort. In 1745, Tulaji Angre captured the fort and it remained under his control for a decade. In 1755, the Peshwas once again conquered the fort. The fort was taken over by the British in 1818.

GOPALGAD (ANJANVEL):
The Anjanvel or the Gopalgad is located on the sea coast to the north of the Anjanvel village in the Guhagar district. Gopalgad is situated at a distance of 18kms from Guhagar. The Anjanvel village is at a distance of 6kms from the Ratnagiri power project. Whereas Gopalgad is at a distance of 2kms from Anjanvel village. You can reach the fort by boat or by car from Anjanvel and Veldur village too. The Anjanvel fort is situated at a height of 65 meters above sea level and is easy to climb.
All the information about Gopalgad or Anjanvel fort from that period can be found in the historic document ‘Anjanvelachi Vahivat’ written in modi script. The Dabhol project, Ratnagiri power project and the nearby light houses can be seen from the top of the fort.
