We are jumping into politics primarily for two reasons.
01. Abolition of any kind of caste based reservation in the country. Uniform civil code -
Law of land is supreme. It is bigger than personal beliefs and must be followed. Every Indian citizen, irrespective of caste, color, religion or s*x should be governed by same law. It sounds so illogical that a country like India that too in 21st century
Situation like this can be handled much better than this.
This is not the way to respond to public.

प्रदेश में गैरसैंण को स्थाई राजधानी बनाने का मुद्दा अब जोर पकड़ने लगा है। अलग-अलग शहरों में लोग अपना विरोध प्रकट कर रहे हैं। अख़बार से लेकर सोशल मीडिया तक युवा गैरसैंण को स्थाई राजधानी बनाने को लेकर आवाज उठाते नजर आ रहे हैं।
गैरसैंण जो की एक सपना था उत्तराखंड बनाने वालों के लिए, अब वोट मांगकर भूलने वाली राजनितिक पार्टियों के लिए एक चुनाव के समय भुनाने वाला मुद्दा भर बन कर रह गया है।
हैरानी की बात यह है की एक पहाड़ी राज्य की नीतियां और योजनाएं मैदान केंद्रित बनाई जाती है। हिमाचल, जम्मू हो या अन्य उत्तर-पूर्वी राज्य, सभी की राजधानियां जब पहाड़ों में हो सकती हैं तो उत्तराखंड की मैदान में क्यों?
क्यों सिर्फ उत्तराखंड ही पलायन की बुरी मार झेल रहा है?
इसके कुछ जवाब यह हो सकते हैं की नेता और अन्य सरकारी कर्मचारी राज्य से बढ़कर खुद के भले में व्यस्थ हैं।
जो शहर पहले से ही इतना विकसित है उसपर इतना ध्यान देना और बाकियों को नकार देना कहाँ की समझदारी दिखता है? किसी गॉव में लोग पानी, बिजली, सड़क, शिक्षा और चिकित्सा जैसी मूल-भूत सुविधाओं के लिए तरस रहे हैं वहीँ दूसरी और जहाँ पहले से सबकुछ है वहां करोड़ों खर्च कर 'स्मार्ट-सिटीज' बनाए जा रहे हैं।
17 वर्ष के इस राज्य की एक स्थाई राजधानी न होना आई हुईं सरकारों की असफलता को दर्शाता है। हिंदुस्तान टाइम्स में छपी एक खबर के अनुसार SS Pangati (former IAS ) कहते हैं की 'दीक्षित कमीशन' द्वारा संभावित राजधानी के लिए जिन स्थानों का नाम दिया गया था उनमे से गैरसैंण और देहरादून भी थे पर तत्कालीन खंडूरी सरकार ने रिपोर्ट पर ज्यादा ध्यान नहीं दिया।
दरसल हम कभी भी बदकिस्मत नहीं थे क्यूंकि लोकतंत्र में उमीदवार हमारे ही चुने गए होते हैं और हमारे चुने जाने के बाद भी अगर वो हमारी बात नहीं सुनते तो उन्हें खुद को उस क्षेत्र के लोगों का मुखियां कहा जाना खुद के दिल को तसल्ली देना जैसा होगा।
देखा जाए तो गैरसैंण में विधानसभा सत्र बुलाना आम लोगों के धन का दुरुपयोग है। सिर्फ कुछ दिन के सत्र पर करोड़ों रुपए खर्च कर दिए जाते हैं ये जानते हुए भी की उत्तराखंड के गावों की आर्थिक स्थिति क्या है।
सरकारी गाड़ियों में आना और आराम के साथ चले जाना एक पिकनिक सा ही लगता है। अगर आप कोई काम कर सकते हो पर नहीं कर रहे तो ये दिखावा किस बात का? और फिर बाद में पलायन और अन्य मुद्दों पर घिडियाली आंसू बहाना मानो जनता आँखों में पट्टी बांधे हो।
किसी भी स्थान पर राजधानी होने से उसके चारों और विकास खुद होने लगता है पर पलायन की मार झेल रहे इस राज्य के भोले-भाले लोगों का शायद शातिर लोग अभी तक अच्छे से फायदा उठाने में कामयाब रहे हैं।
अगर कुमाऊँ और गढ़वाल पर नजर डालें तो गैरसैंण मध्य में पड़ता है पर अभी पिथौरागढ़ के कई गावों से देहरादून की दूरी 500 किलमीटर तक है इस हिसाब से उनके लिए दिल्ली ज्यादा पास पड़ जाता है।
पर इस पोस्ट की तरह ये बातें भी शायद वक़्त के साथ लोगों के दिमाग से गायब हो जाएंगी और यह भी हो सकता है की चुनाव के समय अचानक आपके कानों में गैरसैंण-गैरसैंण सुनाई दे पड़े।

Our encounter with the young kids in Sankri, on their way to school was an eye opener to us.
School in the mountains is a hard-won luxury. Many kids in Uttarakhand travel long distances in extremely dangerous conditions to access their education.
Their parents told us that by the time they reach school are low on energy and have difficulty to concentrate in the class.Once they return home they have no inclination to do homework.
It’s important not to forget that, in some parts of the country, school is a hard-won luxury. Many children throughout the nation have to take the most unimaginable routes in order to receive the education that some of us may take for granted.
