As part of the International Symposium on Strengthening Bilateral Academic, Research and Technical Collaboration Between India & Uzbekistan, held on 7 May 2026 at Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (IGKV), Raipur, the IGKV RKVY-RAFTAAR Agribusiness Incubator (IGKV R-ABI) hosted an academic delegation from Uzbekistan.
During the visit, Prof. Hulas Pathak, Head, Department of Agribusiness & Rural Management and Agricultural Economics, Chairman, International Cell, and PI & CEO, IGKV R-ABI, presented a comprehensive overview of IGKVโs agribusiness incubation ecosystem, startup development framework, innovation support systems, and entrepreneurship-driven rural transformation initiatives.

On 04th May 2026, IGKV R-ABI, Raipur marked a significant presence at Innovation Mahakumbh 1.0, a prestigious two-day mega event organized by Shaheed Mahendra Karma Vishwavidyalaya, Bastar, Jagdalpur, District Bastar, Chhattisgarh.
The event was aimed at fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, startup culture, and skill development among youth, particularly in Bastarโs tribal and aspirational districts. It was organized with the support of the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India. The programme was graciously presided over by the Honโble Governor of Chhattisgarh.
Prof. Hulas Pathak, Head, Department of Agribusiness Management & Head & PI-CEO, IGKV R-ABI, was invited as an expert speaker and delivered a session on Innovating Indiaโs Food Processing Sector: Trends, Technologies, and Transformation, where he shared valuable insights on Bastarโs vast opportunities in food processing, agribusiness, value addition, startup development, and sustainable utilisation of regional resources for inclusive economic growth.
Further strengthening IGKV R-ABIโs impactful participation, three incubated startups from IGKV R-ABI also exhibited their innovative ventures, showcasing the universityโs growing contribution toward agribusiness innovation, startup excellence, and regional entrepreneurial development.

On 9th April 2026, a delegation from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry along with Startup Chhattisgarh visited IGKV R-ABI. The team included Ms. Suman Dewangan, Deputy Director, Ms. Preeti Khandelwal, and Ms. Ruchira Pareek.
The visit covered the IGKV R-ABI Incubation Centre, where an overview of incubation activities and startup support was presented by Prof. Hulas Pathak, Head & PI, along with Team IGKV R-ABI. The delegation also visited the R.H. Richharia Lab for a guided tour of facilities and expertise, and the Centres of Excellence (CoEs), highlighting ongoing research and innovation.
The interaction reflected IGKVโs strong ecosystem for promoting agri-innovation and entrepreneurship.

A group of 20 students from Kalinga University, Raipur, visited IGKV R-ABI, gaining valuable exposure to the startup ecosystem in agriculture and allied sectors.
The session was led by Mr. Ashish Verma, who provided an overview of IGKV R-ABI and highlighted its role in supporting agri-based startups. He also shared inspiring success stories to motivate students toward innovation and entrepreneurship.
The visit included an interactive session and a guided tour of the incubation center, where Team IGKV R-ABI engaged with students, encouraging them to explore innovative ideas and take the first step toward their startup journey. The interaction emphasized that incubation centers like IGKV R-ABI are always committed to supporting young minds in transforming ideas into impactful ventures.

Expanding horizons through global exposure is essential for building future-ready professionals.
A seminar on โDelving IndiaโUzbekistan Synergies in Agriculture, Research and Agri-Entrepreneurship: Key Observations, Insights and Future Directionsโ was organized on 7th April 2026 at Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya to share international academic experiences and align students towards opportunities for global exposure. The session was delivered by Prof. Hulas Pathak, Chairman, International Cell; Head, Department of Agribusiness & Rural Management; Head, Department of Agricultural Economics; and Head & PI-CEO, IGKV R-ABI, who presented key insights from his recent academic visit to Uzbekistan, under the leadership of Honโble Vice Chancellor, Dr. Girish Chandel. The visit included interactions with five universities and discussions on advancements in agriculture, agribusiness, rural development, and collaborative research.
The seminar was graced by Dr. Arti Guhey, Dean, College of Agriculture, Raipur, and Dr. Sanjay Sharma, Dean Studentsโ Welfare, along with Heads of Departments and faculty members. They emphasized the importance of international exposure and encouraged students to actively come forward and leverage the opportunities facilitated by the International Cell, assuring continued guidance and institutional support for those aspiring to gain global experience.

On 24th March 2026, Prof. Hulas Pathak, Head & PI-CEO, IGKV R-ABI, was invited as a speaker at the Townhall Event on โCredit Financing Challenges of MSME Startups in Chhattisgarhโ organized by the Reserve Bank of India. He shared key insights on the credit challenges faced by startups, emphasizing the need for stronger financial linkages and improved access to institutional credit.
The townhall witnessed participation from incubation centres of universities, incubators from State and Central Government, officials from RBI, MSME-DFO along with heads of banks and other key stakeholders. The sessions focused on understanding the MSME startup landscape and addressing challenges related to credit access, with incubators and startups sharing their on-ground experiences.
IGKV R-ABI also participated in the panel discussion, contributing to deliberations on bridging financing gaps and strengthening startup credit readiness.

Strengthening Incubation Excellence through Capacity Building
Team IGKV R-ABI actively participated in SAMARTH 2026 โ Empowering the Incubators, held on 19โ20 March 2026 at the NAS Complex, New Delhi, organized by Pusa Krishi. The workshop was specifically designed to strengthen capacity building of agribusiness incubators under the RKVY-RAFTAAR scheme, bringing together incubators from across the country for shared learning, collaboration, and exchange of best practices.
The programme was graced by eminent dignitaries including Ms F. Deborah Initha, Joint Secretary (RKVY), Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare; Dr Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICARโIARI; Dr C. Vishwanathan, Joint Director, ICARโIARI; Shri Nabin Kumar Roy, Chief General Manager, NABARD whose insights significantly enriched the discussions and outcomes of the workshop.
