Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trustโs S.B. Patil Public School, Ravet, Pune, hosted the โจ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ on ๐๐ค๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง and the ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ก๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ on 22nd October, 2026. Organised by the Department of ๐๐ค๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐๐ซ๐ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐๐จ๐ง๐๐๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง (๐๐๐๐), the programme focused on implementing Skill Education in Classes VIโVIII through Kaushal Bodh, the textbooks developed by the ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ข๐ฅ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ (๐๐๐๐๐).
๐ The programme brought together nearly ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐ฅ๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ, including principals, directors and faculty members from schools and educational institutions across Pune. The sessions were facilitated by ๐๐ฌ. ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐๐ง๐ข-๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข ๐จ๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐๐ก๐ ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ง๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and ๐๐ซ. ๐๐ข๐ญ๐๐ฌ๐ก ๐. ๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐ฆ๐ ๐จ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐จ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ง๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ, Narayangaon, Pune.
The ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ก๐๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐๐ก ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ focused on strengthening educatorsโ understanding of Skill Education and its implementation in Classes VIโVIII. Through the training sessions, participating educators explored the Kaushal Bodh framework and approaches to integrating practical, activity-based learning into the curriculum. The programme emphasised connecting classroom concepts with real-world applications while fostering creativity, problem-solving, independent thinking and collaboration among students. It also provided a valuable opportunity for educators to exchange perspectives and explore ways to make skill-based learning more meaningful, engaging and effective.
A key highlight was the ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ก๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฅ๐, where students showcased their creativity, practical abilities and application of learning through exhibits and demonstrations. Organised around the themes of Innovation, Skills, Creativity and Real-World Learning, the Mela featured activities across three broad areas: working with life forms, working with machines and materials, and working in human services. Through their exhibits and demonstrations, students illustrated how theoretical understanding can be translated into practical application. The activities encouraged them to explore ideas, develop practical solutions and recognise the relevance of skills in everyday life, while fostering collaboration, independent thinking and problem-solving.
The Kaushal Mela received appreciation from the resource persons and visiting educators for the creativity, practical relevance and educational value demonstrated through the exhibits.
By hosting this initiative, S.B. Patil Public School reaffirmed its commitment to progressive educational practices and skill-based learning. The Capacity Building Programme and the Kaushal Mela together highlighted the importance of empowering educators, encouraging hands-on learning and equipping students with practical competencies that extend beyond textbooks and prepare them for the challenges and opportunities of the future. ๐๐
