Health camp empowers girls through essential medical checkups.

Under the "Umang" program, a health camp for girls was held today at the Daubada and Shyampura Educational Centers. At the camp, girls associated with the centers underwent hemoglobin, sugar, blood pressure, and BMI tests. Staff from the government health center conducted these tests and provided necessary counseling.

Science Day was celebrated at educational centres.

Today, on the occasion of Science Day, science exhibitions were held at Uday Community Schools and Umang Program Educational Centers. Children from the educational centers created various models and demonstrated experiments. Community members were invited to visit the exhibition. Community members praised the children's work.

Villagers united to submit road issue plea to Collector.

A meeting was organized in the village by Manisha Bairwa (block assistant) working under the 'Uday Kiran' program run by the GSK. The main issue of the meeting was the problem of roads in the village. In this meeting, the problem of roads in the village and its solution were discussed with all the community members. Due to the problem of roads, children have difficulty going to school during rainy days. There is also a lot of problem in bringing and taking the elderly, pregnant women and patients. In this meeting, it was decided that all the people of the village will collectively go to the Collector's office and submit a memorandum to the Collector for the solution of this problem of the village.

Organized health camp for adolescent girls.

Under the Umang program run by the organization, a health camp was organized for the adolescent girls of Shyampura Shikshan Kendra today. In this health camp, the blood group, hemoglobin, blood sugar, blood pressure, weight, height etc. of the adolescent girls were checked and information was recorded. During the health camp, iron, folic acid, calcium and other essential medicines were provided free of cost to the anemic and weak adolescent girls by the Government Medical Center.

Parents engaged in improving Umang Learning Center together.

Today, under the 'Umang program' run by the organization, a parents-facilitator meeting was organized at Shyampura Shikshan Kendra. In this meeting, mainly the regular joining of girls to the center, arrangement of proper place for the learning center, health camp to be organized this month and exposure visit were discussed with the parents and community members. The major work to be done at Umang Shikshan Kendra was also made known. Parents were talked to for providing necessary support for the learning center.

Rice tubes cooked in hot salt for healthy frying.

A special recipe of fried food without oil was prepared today in the cooking club of Uday Community School Katar. In which tubes made of rice were cooked by soaking them in hot salt. Through this activity, the children were explained the difference between things fried in oil and things cooked without oil. Along with this, information was also given about the advantages and disadvantages of its effect on health.
