Pench Forest Farm

This weekend's farm trip was truly special! With the monsoon in full swing, the entire place came alive with birds and animals.

Under the watchful eyes of our super-friendly guard dogs Tommy & Sweety, we had an amazing watermelon harvest from an experimental planting, averaging 5-6kg each. The young plants have soared to about 8ft tall, already bearing their first fruits – lemons, guavas, and a plentiful crop of papayas.

This season is about our new crops: corn, rice, groundnuts, and a variety of veggies including brinjal, bitter gourd, and chilies.

In addition to our crops, we've welcomed new additions to the farm family – adorable baby goats. They're joined by a lively rooster and hen, who have made a cozy coop in the tulsi plant – perhaps drawn by its aroma.

India is home to 3 of the 13 species of otters found worldwide - Eurasian Otter; Smooth-coated Otter and Small-clawed otter. The Small-clawed Otters are the smallest otters among in the world, measuring about 0.95 meters in length and weigh only about 2–5kg.
