Build with truth. Lead with purpose.

On Gandhi Jayanti, we remember the values that matter most in entrepreneurship: integrity, self-reliance and a commitment to people.

Gandhi's charkha was more than a spinning wheel. It stood for local enterprise, dignity of work and growth that lifts communities. These ideas are just as relevant for today's founders.

- Be honest with your customers
- Build for your community, not just the market
- Choose purpose over noise
- Grow with people, not at their expense

Entrepreneurs of Meghalaya, may your ventures be built on trust and driven by purpose.

Five things to sort before your next batch leaves the kitchen.

Takeaways from our FSSAI Seminar, for anyone making, packing or selling food in Meghalaya:

Register before you sell, not after. Your FSSAI number belongs on the very first pack.
Know your licence tier. Turnover and type of business decide it — check your eligibility on FoSCoS before you apply.

Your label is a promise. Name, ingredients, the veg or non-veg mark, your FSSAI number and best-before all belong on the pack. If you can't prove a claim, leave it off.

Clean every day, not just on inspection day. A daily checklist with a signature beats one spotless morning.
Trace every batch back. Log the supplier, date and batch number, so a problem means recalling one batch, not everything.

Save this for your next licence renewal, and send it to a founder who's still selling without a number.

Have a question about FSSAI for your business? Drop it in the comments — we'll answer, and take the common ones to our next workshop.

A proud new milestone for ZONG HI-i as the company inaugurated its 3rd outlet at Pahamsothri, Nongpoh, furthering its journey of celebrating weave, heritage and identity.

Adding meaning to the celebration, ZONG HI-i also extended financial assistance to students as part of its commitment to social responsibility and community empowerment.
