The Valedictory Function of the Foundation Course for the HPAS & Allied Services Batch–2026 was held at Dr. Manmohan Singh Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration (MSHIPA) on 09 July 2026. The programme was graced by Sh. Anirudh Tewari, IAS, Director General, Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration (MGSIPA), Punjab, as the Chief Guest. The function was presided over by Ms. Rupali Thakur, Director, MSHIPA, in the presence of Sh. Prashant Sirkek, Additional Director, MSHIPA and Sh. Sandeep Sharma, Dy. Controlller(F&A). Certificates of successful completion of the Foundation Course were presented to all trainee officers, marking the culmination of an important phase in their journey towards public service.

Towards Resilient Infrastructure Planning in the Western Himalayas-
Dr. Manmohan Singh Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration (MSHIPA), in collaboration with the Chintan Research Foundation, successfully organized a high-level workshop on "Towards Resilient Infrastructure Planning in the Western Himalayas." The workshop brought together eminent policymakers, administrators, researchers, academicians, and domain experts to deliberate on climate risks, geological fragility, resilient infrastructure, urban planning, and governance strategies for sustainable development in the Himalayan region. The programme concluded with the valedictory session graced by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, who released the report on resilient Himachal Pradesh, launched the HIM_SIAMS Portal, and emphasized the importance of climate-resilient and sustainable development for the State.

On 23rd May 2026, students from the University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS) visited the Dr. Manmohan Singh Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration (MSHIPA), Shimla, for an educational exposure visit. The visit aimed to familiarize the students with the functioning, history, and role of MSHIPA in governance and public administration.

During the visit, the students toured the MSHIPA campus and were introduced to its various facilities and training infrastructure. They interacted with the faculty members and officials of the institute, who shared valuable insights regarding the role of MSHIPA in capacity building, training, and research for government officers and public servants.

Dr. Manmohan Singh Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration (MSHIPA) organized an engaging Astronomy Session on 24th March 2026 to explore the wonders of the night sky. Participants had the unique opportunity to observe planets and stars through a telescope, making it a truly enriching experience.
The session was conducted by astronomer Ms. Pooja Sharma, who shared valuable insights into celestial bodies and space science. Officers and participants of the institute actively took part in the event, making it both informative and memorable.
