*A Melodious Tribute to Himachali Folk Culture — “Riza Ri Manu”*

Today, I released the new Himachali folk song *“Riza Ri Manu” by renowned Himachali folk singer Shri Inder Jeet* at Raj Bhavan, Shimla.

The song beautifully showcases Himachal Pradesh’s rich *folk culture, traditions, traditional attire and mountain way of life*. It features traditional musical instruments such as the *dhol, nagara, shehnai and karnal*, offering a beautiful glimpse into the state’s vibrant folk traditions.

I extend my *heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Shri Inder Jeet and his entire team* for “Riza Ri Manu”. I hope this song further strengthens the identity and recognition of Himachal Pradesh’s rich cultural heritage across the country and the world.

Let us all resolve to preserve and cherish our invaluable folk culture and traditions and pass them on to future generations.

The Governor Hon’ble Governor Shri Kavinder Gupta said the response to drug abuse must combine firm action against traffickers and organised crime with treatment, rehabilitation and social reintegration of those affected by addiction. He said drug trafficking could also have links with organised crime and, in some cases, cross-border networks, making it a matter of internal security and national interest.

The Hon’ble Governor Shri Kavinder Gupta said that education should go beyond knowledge and employment and should develop character, discipline, self-confidence, national consciousness and a spirit of service among children.

He said that 178 Saraswati Vidya Mandirs were being run in Himachal Pradesh by Himachal Shiksha Samiti under the guidance of Vidya Bharati, providing an important service to society.
