The Office of the Chief Executive Officer, Cachar Zilla Parishad, Silchar invites applications for engagement of 1 (one) Fellow for Aspirational Block Programme, Lakhipur, Cachar, Assam for a period of 6 (six) months (F.Y. 2023-24) which may be further increased as and when required. All interested candidates are requested to submit the duly filled up applications in Standard Format with photocopies of all relevant documents in the Office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Lakhipur Sub-Division, Cachar on or before 30th October, 2023. The test of selection will be held at 10.00 A.M. on 3rd November, 2023 at Earle Higher Secondary School, Lakhipur, Cachar.

Plantation of saplings as part of the Amrit Brikshya Andolan was carried out in the premises of the Office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Lakhipur. The initiative aims to increase the state’s green cover along with promoting the tree economy thereby fostering a more sustainable environment in the state.

A ‘Two Days Mock Exercise on Earthquake Scenario’ wherein one table top exercise session was held in the Conference Hall of the Lakhipur Municipal Board and two field drill sessions were held in the Lakhipur Municipal Building and JNV Pailapool on 12th September, 2023 and 13th September, 2023 respectively. The programme was conducted by 1st NDRF Battalion, Patgaon, Guwahati in collaboration with DDMA, Cachar and Sub-Divisional Administration, Lakhipur.

On the occasion of the 77th Independence Day, the National Flag was hoisted in the Office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Lakhipur by Sri Lakshyajeet Gogoi, Assistant Commissioner in presence of office staff.

On the occasion of Meri Maati Mera Desh & Har Ghar Tiranga campaign , a Tiranga rally was organised in Lakhipur MB on 14th August in the presence of ADC & i/c SDO (C) Lakhipur, Chairman LMB, Vice chairman LMB, ward Commisioners & others.

As part of Meri Maati Mera Desh Campaign, Vasudha Vandhan was organised in Lakhipur MB & Lakhipur Nayagram GP by planting of 75 Saplings each in presence of ADC & i/c SDO(C) Lakhipur, Hon'ble MLA Lakhipur, Chairman Lakhipur MB, BDO Lakhipur & others on 9th of August. Panch Pran Pledge was also taken by all.

On 24/2/2023, a citizen's meet was called by Lakhipur Municipal board at Multiple purpose Hall, Fulertal regarding the new property tax rates. Discussion on the draft notification of the newly assessed property tax was held & views of the citizens were also heard.

On 20/2/23, a special board meeting of Lakhipur Municipal board was held regarding finalising the re-assessment of property tax. With the board's approval, a draft notification was issued regarding the new property tax rates.
