NSS Volunteers actively participated in the celebration of 150 Years of “Vande Mataram” through a Tiranga Yatra at Silchar.

Volunteers from various institutions took part in the programme, including Assam University, GC University, Cachar College, Women’s College, Monmohan Ghosh Anil Das Memorial College, MC Das College, and SC Dey College.

Apart from NSS, several other organizations also participated in the Tiranga Yatra, such as NCC, Scouts and Guides, schools, clubs, NGOs, and other social organizations.

Barak Valley Headquarters, Silchar Wins Best Participant Trophy at Republic Day Parade.
“In the history of NSS, this marks a historic milestone— for the first time, the NSS contingent from Barak Valley Headquarters, Silchar participated in the Republic Day Parade and was awarded the Best Participant Trophy in the Regular Force category. Competing alongside disciplined forces such as Assam Police (Male & Female), Assam Home Guards, Traffic Police, BSF, CRPF, NCC Boys & Girls, and Scouts & Guides, the NSS contingent stood out with exemplary dedication, discipline, and patriotic spirit.”

NSS Leads by Example: Cleanliness Drive After Parade Practice 🇮🇳
After the parade practice, the NSS Contingent carried out a cleanliness drive at the Police Parade Ground, where CRPF, BSF, Assam Police, Home Guards, NCC, and Scouts & Guides are practicing for the upcoming parade.
This initiative highlights the commitment of NSS volunteers towards cleanliness, discipline, and civic responsibility, truly reflecting the spirit of “Cleanliness alongside National Service.”
