First Look: Our official logo is out!
Finally, after many rough sketches, color code combinations, gradient textures, and ultimately when the name of the photoshop file became 'logo_final_okayfinal_moreokayfinal_itsfinalnow_itsgotdamnfinal_thisislastfinal_nomoreeditfinal.psd', we're done with the official logo of SilcharPages.
Here it represents the map of Silchar in a vivid look. The white curve figure in the logo represents the part of Barak river which flows over Silchar and its vicinity. It resembles the ox-bow lake on whose bank the city Silchar is located. The green portion in the logo represents the land mass of Silchar.
Also, the white figure gives the structure of alphabets S and P joined together, which are the initials of our venture. The color white resembles the city of peace while the bluish-green combination stands for the rich flora and fauna of the valley.
This is not just a logo, it lives the City!

"There is something about poetry beyond prose logic, there is mystery in it, not to be explained but admired."
--Edward Young
Touched by Young's words and admiring the poets and poems of the world, SilcharPages Blog is starting its Poetry section from today. We welcome all the poets of the City and also those outstationed to send in their poems at [email protected] and we will make them feature in the site where it deserves to be.
P.S. To those talented poets, your masterpieces are meant to be showcased, not to be kept forbidden in your diary.
The first one is presented by Rajeeb Talukdar
