NCC Assam University, Silchar Visited the Airforce station, Kumbhirgram on 14th of November for the Airshow by Sarang Helicopter Display team of Indian Air Force in celebration of 93rd Anniversary of Indian Air Force.

NCC Assam University pays solemn tribute to BSF Braveheart Constable (GD) Shaheed Rajib Nunia, who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty on 27 August 2025. He displayed unwavering courage, commitment, and dedication while serving the nation during operational deployment along the International Boundary in the Akhnoor area of District Jammu. His martyrdom will always be remembered and honoured.

On May 19/1961, 11 people were martyred at Silchar Railway Station when police fired on a peaceful protestdemanding official status for the Bengali language in Barak Valley. The protest opposed the Assam Government's move to impose Assamese as the sole official language, which threatened the linguistic rights of the Bengali-speaking majority in the region.
