Empowering Rural Communities Through Food Entrepreneurship ๐พ
NIFTEM Kundli successfully conducted a 10-day Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) from 12โ21 June 2026 for 28 participants belonging to various Self Help Groups (SHGs) from the state of Uttarakhand at the Kundli campus. The program was organized in association with the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR), Hyderabad, with the aim of nurturing future foodpreneurs and strengthening rural livelihoods through food processing entrepreneurship.
Dr. Harinder Singh Oberoi, Director, NIFTEM-K, extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all the participants for successfully completing the program and encouraged them to emerge as successful entrepreneurs in the food processing sector.
During the valedictory function, Prof. Sanjay Bhayana presented a brief report highlighting the key achievements of the program. One of the major highlights of the EDP was its 50% hands-on training component, which provided practical exposure to participants. The training covered all important aspects of entrepreneurship including Entrepreneurial journey, motivation, quality control, packaging & labeling, raw material procurement, marketing strategies, and technical know-how of food production.
