Five Held in Lalbazar Gambling Crackdown

Srinagar, May 31st (CNS): Police on Sunday arrested five persons during a gambling raid in the Lalbazar area of Srinagar.

According to officials, the operation was carried out by the Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station Lalbazar under the supervision of the SP Hazratbal after receiving specific inputs about gambling activities in the locality. Five individuals were caught during the raid.

The arrested persons have been identified as Shabir Ahmed Parra, Fayaz Ahmed Dar and Zahid Nabi Dar, all residents of Mandibal Soura, Rayees Ahmed Sofi of Hubby Colony Lalbazar, and Mirza Zubair Beigh of Mulfaq, Hazratbal.

Police have registered a case under FIR No. 19/2026 at Police Station Lalbazar under relevant provisions of law. Further investigation is underway to determine whether more individuals were linked to the alleged gambling network. (CNS)

4)Collection point near RP School Boys Wing

We also sincerely thanks to the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) and the Commissioner, Srinagar, for arranging a special hopper service on the eve of Eid-ul-Adha across all 35 wards of Srinagar. This ensured smooth and timely collection of Qurbani animal skins and hides.

Lastly, Madad Charitable Trust appreciates our all volunteer heroes who devoted their time on this special occasion, managing operations at all collection points and providing continuous support whenever needed.
