The National Medical Commission's Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) has withdrawn the Letter of Permission (LoP) granted to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence, Kakryal, Reasi (Jammu & Kashmir), for running the MBBS course with 50 seats for the academic year 2025-26.

Government Medical College (GMC) Baramulla hosted its White Coat and Oath-Taking Ceremony on October 9, 2025, to welcome the incoming batch of 1st-year MBBS students. The event marked the official beginning of a new academic journey for future doctors and was attended by all heads of departments,faculty members, students, parents, and distinguished guests.

-Inspirational Keynote: The worthy Principal, Prof. Dr. Majid Jahangir, delivered an inspiring keynote address, emphasizing the critical role of students to be dedicated, hard-working, and compassionate in their profession. His address stressed the importance of compassion, ethics, and dedication in the medical profession.

♥️ She Wasn’t Ugly — She Was a Mother’s Love ♥️

In 1914, a brave woman named Mary lost her husband and was left alone to raise her children. With no one to help and no way to earn enough, she made a heartbreaking choice — to join a contest called “The Ugliest Woman in the World.”

She didn’t do it for attention or fame. She did it to feed her children. 🍞

Mary suffered from a condition called Acromegaly, which changed how she looked. But her heart was stronger than any pain. She worked in circus shows, facing cruel laughter and hurtful words — all so her children could eat, learn, and dream.

Every insult she faced became a sacrifice of love. Every tear she held back was proof of her unbreakable strength.

She wasn’t ugly. She was beautiful in the purest way — a mother who gave everything so her children could have a better life. 🌹

May the bereaved family find strength and solace in this hour of grief.

We Urge the Prime Minister of India's Office (PMO), New Delhi & Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India Omar Abdullah for urgent repatriation of her body for last rites to Kashmir.

Mudasir Ahmad, a Kashmiri student from Baramulla, met with an accident in Ludhiana while traveling on his bike. He is a student at Mata Saraswati College in Ludhiana.

He was declared brought dead. His body has been shifted to Dayanand Medical College and Hospital in Ludhiana, where it is currently in the mortuary.
