🗞️ Kashmir Schools to Observe Summer Vacation from June 23 to July 7

The Jammu and Kashmir government has announced a 15-day summer break for schools in the Kashmir division starting from June 23, 2025.

Important Notice for Class 11th (Private) Bi-Annual Students:
Last date to apply is 23rd June. 2025

Education Minister Sakina Itoo, on Friday, hinted that the summer break might be rescheduled to an earlier date — possibly before July — due to the prevailing heatwave conditions.

In Kupwara district, 127 government schools continue to function without electricity. Additionally, 142 schools lack tap water access, 79 operate from rented accommodations, and as many as 1,226 schools are without library facilities.

🕒 Revised School Timings Effective Saturday:
📌 Srinagar Municipal Limits: 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
📌 Areas Outside Srinagar Limits: 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM

Schools in Kashmir are scheduled to have a 10-day summer break starting from July 1.

Education Minister Sakina Itoo hints at one-week summer break for schools starting July 1.

The deadline to apply for re-evaluation was 2nd June for Class 10th, 11th June for Class 11th, and 16th June for Class 12th. Going by past trends, JKBOSE usually takes about 1 to 1.5 months to announce re-evaluation results. Therefore, students can expect the results to be released by the 2nd or 3rd week of July. Logically as well, the results should be declared before the Bi-Annual Examinations, which are likely to commence in the latter part of July.

Important Advisory:
Students who have re-appear in any subject are strongly advised not to wait for the re-evaluation outcome and should begin preparing for the upcoming Bi-Annual Exams without any delay.
