Watching people celebrate the closure of a medical college is deeply disturbing.
This is not pride. This is not strength. This is a moral failure.
When students spend years preparing, when parents sacrifice everything, and when a region desperately needs doctors and hospitals, cheering a shutdown is nothing short of cruelty.
Our youth are not asking for favours. They are asking for classrooms, laboratories, hospitals, and a fair chance at a dignified future. Yet some find joy in destruction rather than demanding improvement.
If there were shortcomings, the answer was to fix them—not to turn students’ dreams into collateral damage. A society that claps when institutions collapse has forgotten why education exists in the first place.
This isn’t about ideology. It’s about humanity. A nation cannot move forward by celebrating fewer doctors, fewer opportunities, and more despair.
History will remember who stood for education and who celebrated its downfall. And the youth are watching.
