2nd round of 139th BOCA of JKLCMA was convened today under the chairmanship of Vice Chairman Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Qadri to dispose of the remaining cases. In total 165 cases were disposed off by BOCA held today and on 13th December.

๐ ๐ฟ. ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ต๐บ๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐ค๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฟ๐ถ (๐๐๐๐ฆ), VC, JKLCMA along with other senior officers of the Authority conducted an extensive inspection of Dal-Nigeen Lake, its navigational channels, and the internal hamlets. The visit offered an opportunity to closely evaluate the various conservation measures being implemented by the Authority.
During the visit, the Vice Chairman inspected the deweeding operations and other conservation efforts, including houseboat connectivity enhancements, ensuring that these interventions uphold both quality standards and the siteโs modern-day usability.
The Vice Chairman also directed that the acquired land be clearly demarcated and developed into eco-friendly recreational spots. Special emphasis was placed on controlling the sewage inflow from nearby hamlets to protect the lakeโs water quality. Additionally, he instructed that cleaning of navigational channels be prioritized to ensure smooth and safe movement through the waterways.
Such visits reflect the Authorityโs commitment to balancing heritage preservation, environmental conservation, and sustainable development, ensuring that Dal-Nigeen Lake continues to thrive as both an ecological treasure and a hub of responsible tourism.

Monitoring every crucial element! VC LCMA took an extensive tour of the Dal Lake periphery, reviewing critical infrastructure like the STPs and various control gates to ensure optimal conservation measures are in place.

Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, JKAS, after taking charge of Vice Chairman of the Jammu & Kashmir Lake Conservation and Management Authority (LCMA), convened a comprehensive review meeting with officers of the Authority on 11.10.2025.
During the meeting, he took stock of the functioning of all operational wings, including enforcement, lake cleaning and maintenance, planning and monitoring, public outreach, and regulatory oversight. He called for strengthening inter-departmental coordination to ensure timely ex*****on of lake conservation initiatives.
The Vice Chairman stressed the need for adopting proactive measures for the preservation and restoration of Dal-Nagin and other allied waterbodies. He further directed officers to ensure prompt redressal of public grievances related to encroachments, pollution, and illegal activities affecting lake ecosystems.
He directed the Enforcement Officer to demolish any construction that takes place within 200 mtrs and stressed for regulation of constructions beyond restricted zone.
The Vice Chairman reaffirmed LCMAโs commitment to safeguarding the regionโs natural heritage and instructed officials to maintain high standards of transparency, accountability, and field-level responsiveness in all operations.

The 137th BOCA meeting of the JKLCMA was convened today, April 12, 2025, at the Dockyard, Nishat. Meeting was presided over by VC, JKLCMA and 105 cases were decided.
