On World Bicycle Day, Chief Minister today flagged off a Cyclothon at the Royal Springs Golf Course, Srinagar, joining cyclists and youth in celebrating the spirit of fitness, healthy living and environmental awareness.

The Cyclothon, organised under the “My Youth My Pride” initiative, seeks to inspire young people to embrace active lifestyles and make sports a part of their daily lives.

Minister for Youth Services & Sports Satish Sharma and Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Sogami also participated in the event.

Chief Minister today chaired the Board Meeting of the Royal Springs Golf Course, Srinagar. The meeting reviewed the functioning of the golf course and deliberated on measures to further enhance infrastructure, facilities and the overall visitor experience. Discussions also focused on promoting Jammu & Kashmir as a premier golf tourism destination and strengthening its position on the national and international golfing map.

Chief Minister today received the first batch of Hujjaaj returning from the holy pilgrimage of Haj at Srinagar Airport. He warmly welcomed the pilgrims and congratulated them on the successful completion of this sacred journey.

Chief Minister today inaugurated the newly constructed additional accommodation block at Circuit House, Srinagar, built at a cost of ₹7.8 crore. The facility is aimed at strengthening hospitality infrastructure and enhancing accommodation facilities for visitors and dignitaries. The accommodation units have been thoughtfully designed, blending modern amenities with traditional Kashmiri architectural elements to reflect the region’s rich cultural heritage.

MLA Hazratbal Salman Sagar called on the Chief Minister today, along-with a delegation of civil society members from Hazratbal, who expressed gratitude for the resolution of the long-pending issue concerning the construction of the Sub-District Hospital at Habak, Hazratbal. The delegation also discussed various issues related to the area and sought the Chief Minister’s continued support for its development.

A delegation of the Jal Jeevan Mission Contractor Association also met the Chief Minister on the occasion and discussed matters pertaining to the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission in J&K.

Member Parliament, Ladakh Haji Mohammad Hanifa, called on Chief Minister today, along-with representatives of employees serving in Ladakh and members of Private School Association of Kargil. Various issues concerning employees and education sector were discussed during the meeting.

Chief Minister has written to Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu , seeking urgent intervention to ensure the timely and secure transportation of checked-in baggage belonging to Haj pilgrims returning to Jammu & Kashmir.

MLA Beerwah Dr. Shafi Ahmad Wani today called on the Chief Minister and apprised him of various matters pertaining to his constituency including establishment of Craft Village at Sonpah, Budgam.
