One of our greatest Alumni Dr MGS Narayanan passes away

Eminent historian MGS Narayanan passes away at 92 With more than 200 published articles in Malayalam and English, MGS made historical scholarship more accessible through his literary flair. Besides history, he also enjoyed writing poetry.

We had a brief interaction with our ever special graduating/alumni batch of 2022-23 from both UG and PG classes.

The History batch of 1996-99 visited the Department today. Dr Venkataramanujam, Head of the Department of History welcomed them. The alumni shared their student days experiences and chatted lively about their teachers.

The Department of History, Madras Christian College is proud to have recreated the antiquities of the Indus Valley Civilization in its iconic exhibition Indus Echoes: The Land of Unsolved Mysteries. How did we do? Of course it’s our students who showcased their immense talent in planning, articulation and ex*****on of the vision that the Department had. Kudos to the students. Nearly 1200 visitors came for the exhibition and everyone had words of appreciation for them. Thank you to every student and to the faculty who made this event a grand success.

Here we are. The Indus Echoes: The Land of Unsolved Mysteries exhibition organised by the Department of History, Madras Christian College is scheduled to happen on 21st and 22nd October 2024. Please join us for witnessing the Indus Marvels.
