Creative Writing Session

Today we conducted a creative writing session in class on the theme 'Dinosaurs'🦖🦖. The children were asked to write a story completely on their own without any prior discussion.

The focus of the session was independent writing. Each child used their own imagination to create an original story based on dinosaurs.

The main learning outcome for today was 'Characterisation'.

After finishing their writing, they got a chance to narrate the story written by them.

The activity helped improve their creativity, independent thinking, vocabulary, and confidence in both writing and speaking.🌼

*Saturday Activity Circle - Juniors*, October 17

For today's Story Time, we read the book 'Curious George's Dinosaur Discovery' by Margret & H.A. Rey. This is a funny story about a very curious monkey named George, whose friend takes him to a dinosaur dig. All of George's attempts to help the scientists there find dinosaur remains always seem to end in disaster, until a happy accident occurs and he uncovers a large trove of dinosaur bones!

During art time, we had a blast with drawing and colouring!

For Game Time, we played Red Light, Green Light, which was a great hit with our young participants!

During Free Play, our participants played Pictionary on the whiteboard and then had fun playing with building blocks together 😁

Thank you all for coming. There will be no Saturday Activity Circle this coming Saturday, so see you all in *2 weeks!*

🌟 *Speak & Spark – Today's Class Highlights* 🌟

Today's session was a wonderful blend of creativity, hands-on learning, storytelling, and drama!

🎨 **Clay Modelling:** The children explored their creative side through a fun clay-modelling activity. They were guided to make a beautiful *bunch of grapes* using clay, and it was amazing to see them create their models so beautifully on their very first attempt!

👻 **Ghost Craft & Storytelling:** Next, the children made a cute ghost cutout using plain white paper. Using their handmade ghosts as inspiration, they worked in groups to create an imaginative story about *“A Ghost Who Needs Help.”*

🎭 **Creative Group Performance:** The children brought their stories to life through wonderful performances, adding spooky sound effects, expressive actions, and different voice modulations. Their imagination, teamwork, and enthusiasm made the presentations truly entertaining!

It was a fun-filled session that encouraged creativity, fine motor skills, collaboration, and confident expression. We are so proud of our little storytellers and their wonderful efforts! 🍇👻✨
