*Saturday Activity Circle - Juniors*, February 28
The F.U.N. Project 's *Saturday Activity Circle* for Juniors started with an impromptu reading of Dr Seuss' 'The Foot Book' while we waited for more participants to arrive. This book is great for reading out loud and perfect for beginner readers, with its repetitive rhyming words and unique illustrations.
For Story Time, we read the book I'm Not Cute' by Jonathan Allen. This story is about Baby Owl who is constantly being called 'cute' by other animals. Baby Owl is very annoyed about it and says he's not cute but a sleek, scary 'hunting machine'. Our participants greatly enjoyed shouting the name of each new animal that was introduced! π
In our art segment, we did drawing, colouring, and collage making - always a crowd favourite! π
For game time, we played Scavenger hunt, and the kids ran around excitedly grabbing things they needed to find! It was excellent exercise π
For free play, some of our participants branched off into blocks, some invented games with our hula hoop, and some continued with their artwork, creating collages, drawing and colouring to their heart's content! π
Thank you all for coming π
ππPLEASE NOTE - *There will be NO Saturday Activity Circle in the month of March* due to the upcoming final exams in schools
Hope to catch up with you all again at Schoolkutti's Summer Camp in April and May! Good luck for the exams! πππ

*Saturday Activity Circle - Seniors*, February 21
The F.U.N. Project 's *Saturday Activity Circle* for Seniors started with our Book Club segment. We explored the series 'Wings of Fire' by Tui. T. Sutherland. This series is about a fantasy world of different dragon clans who are at war with each other, and the mission of five young dragons to stop it. It's a fun, and thrilling read, perfect for lovers of action and fantasy! β¨π¦βπ₯π₯
For art time, we drew mandalas and then branched off into animals and people, and enjoyed filling the whiteboard with drawings!
In skill sharing, we learned the alphabet in Indian Sign Language, as well as some basic greetings!
Our group discussion topic was 'How to be an Eco Warrior' where we went over our knowledge of the five R's and considered what we can do to be more eco friendly πΏ
Our single participant sessions are now participant-led during Game Time where we play games our participant is interested in. Today we played Uno, Jenga, Battleship, and Line Up Four to exercise our strategy πͺπ»π
Thank you for coming and see you at our next *Saturday Activity Circle*! β€οΈβ¨
ππPLEASE NOTE - The next *Saturday Activity Circle* will be on *February 28*. See you next week!
