Air Customs Trivandrum seized 1.145 Kgs Gold worth Rs.32 Lakhs approx., which was attempted to be smuggled on 9.7.2017, by two passengers who arrived by flight No IX 538. The gold of 24 carat purity was concealed in the checked in baggage of the passengers in the form of belt buckles and chain. The belt buckles were camouflaged with silver color paint.
