Another May 21.

It's been two years since we lost our beloved Arunkumar K K, the then president of ASA CU Kerala on an unfortunate night. ASA was initiated in 2013-14 and ever since we have started our efforts in this campus, the journey was never easy and above all we were unfortunate to lose two of our leaders.

First, our founding President Peruri Upendra in December 2014 who passed away in a tragic accident and then Arunkumar K K in May 2016 due to a heart-attack.

They were not just the leaders of our campus but were also the future of their families, their communities and villages they hailed from. ASA CU Kerala survived through these two loses, in spite of the constant attacks from different corners and the association members believe in carrying the fighting spirit shown by both Peruri Upendra and Arunkumar K K.

To sustain their efforts and everlasting memories, ASA CU Kerala is planning to start an annual lecture series in the memory of these two bright stars of CUK, Upendra-Arunkumar Memorial Lecture Series, beginning from the academic year 2018 - 19.

We request everyone (Friends, Teachers and Family members of Upendra and Arunkumar, from CUK and outside and all the well-wishers of the politics they stood for) for suggestions in going ahead with the lecture series. Our initial plan is to invite two academicians to deliver lectures on a particular day and continue this endeavour every year.

Looking forward to your valuable suggestions and opinions.
