🌌 Nirmaan IIST Brings Space Science to Idinjar High School! 🌕
🚀 To commemorate the launch of Chandrayaan 3, Nirmaan, the social outreach club of IIST, conducted an engaging session at Idinjar High School on Space Science and Astronomy. The event aimed to inspire young minds and cultivate an interest in the wonders of the universe. 🌟🔭
🌠 Our session kicked off with an introduction to Astronomy, Space Science, and the vast Universe, catered by Nirmaan team members Bibhudatta Dalei, Parth Sarthi Mishra, and Zeel Gabani. They also demonstrated how to use the Stellarium app, allowing students to explore the night sky and learn about celestial objects interactively. 📱✨
🌓 High school students received an additional session focusing on the origin and geology of the Moon, led by Prof. Rajesh V J, Adarsh R, and Libiya V, where they shared intriguing insights about its formation and structure. 🪐 To spark further curiosity, we showcased two rock samples resembling the lunar surface, captivating the students' imaginations and igniting their passion for space exploration. 🌋🪨

🌟 Farewell Event for Nirmaan Volunteers!
On April 21, 2024, Nirmaan members came together to express heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional volunteers who have significantly contributed to our community through their dedicated efforts in social outreach over the past few years, as bid farewell to the volunteers from batch 2020, with alumni from the 2019 and 2018 batches of Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology - IIST
The farewell ceremony commenced with an inspiring address from Dr. Kuruvilla Joseph, Registrar-IIST, who joined us online to share motivational words and encourage us to carry forward the legacy of service and compassion. This was followed by a touching message from Lekshmi Nair, our faculty Coordinator, who expressed her appreciation for the volunteers' selfless contributions. Throughout the event, seniors and volunteers took the opportunity to share cherished memories from their various visits and sessions. It was a heartwarming moment as we reflected on the bonds forged and the lives touched through our outreach initiatives.
As we bid farewell to this cohort of volunteers, we are filled with gratitude for their selfless dedication and inspired us to continue our mission of making a difference in the lives of others. 🎉🙏

Nirmaan IIST Blood Donation Camp 2024! 🩸
🗓️ On April 6th, 2024, Nirmaan IIST organized a successful blood donation camp in collaboration with the Regional Cancer Center (RCC). We received 71 registrations, and 55 donors were able to donate blood to support this noble cause. A heartfelt thank you to Registrar-IIST Kuruvilla Sir, Director-IIST Unnikrishnan sir, and Lekshmi Ma'am Faculty Coordinator of Nirmaan IIST, for their invaluable support and guidance in organizing this impactful event. Together, we're making a difference in our community, one donation at a time! 💪🙏

🌟 Nirmaan IIST's 4th Session at Idinjar High School on March 2, 2024, was an exciting day of exploration and fun-filled activities! We delved into the fascinating concept of multiple reflections, discussing the principles of Kaleidoscopes and periscopes. Theoretical explanations and practical demonstrations using mirrors enriched our understanding. As a token of appreciation, we gifted the school a working Kaleidoscope. Next, we embarked on a thrilling session about gliders and aeroplanes, explaining their mechanics through presentations and models. Students enthusiastically crafted their own paper gliders and witnessed their flight firsthand. Wrapping up the day with a friendly football match, we bonded over sportsmanship and camaraderie. Another memorable session for Nirmaan and the students! ⚽🛩️

🌟 Nirmaan IIST's 3rd Session at Idinjar High School, held on February 24, 2024, was a day filled with learning and camaraderie! The session commenced with language exchanges where Nirmaan members introduced themselves in Malayalam, and students reciprocated in English. An engaging word formation game followed, enhancing vocabulary skills. Next, career guidance sessions broadened students' horizons, covering diverse fields like science, research, medicine, engineering, civil services, armed forces, business management, commerce, arts, and culture. The day concluded with an exuberant dance party, fostering connections and celebrating newfound knowledge. It was a rewarding experience for both Nirmaan members and school students alike. 💼🎉

📚✨ Nirmaan IIST's second session at Gov. Tribal High School, Idinjar on Feb 10th, 2024, was an enriching experience!💫
We started by teaching English greetings and sentence structure, 📝 laying the foundation for effective communication. The highlight was the hands-on experiment with Newtonian and Non-Newtonian fluids🔎 using cornstarch and water, sparking curiosity and wonder among the students. We then delved into the theory of buoyancy, followed by an engaging game where students crafted floating dishes and boats, adding coins until they sank.📸🌟

🔍✨ Exploring the wonders of optics! As part of the IIST Campus visit on January 26th, 2024, the journey took us to the Adaptive Optics lab. Students were immersed in a world of optical phenomena - from total internal reflection to the magic of holograms. The use of water drops as lenses sparked wonder and curiosity in the kids. 🌟 🚀

On January 26th, 2024, during our IIST Campus visit, students had the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of geology in the lab. They learned about different types of rocks, their formation, and the factors influencing them. Additionally, they got to know about the evidences suggesting past water presence on Mars. 🌋🪨

On January 26th, 2024, during the IIST Campus visit, students explored the Aerodynamics lab. They learned about the basic structure of airplanes, control surfaces, and other mechanisms. The demonstration included the use of wind tunnels to study airflow and its interaction with aircraft. ✈️🌀🔬

During the campus visit, students ventured to the 🛰️ SSPACE IIST Ground station and Lab. In the Lab, they delved into various activities and witnessed a live 3D printing process. At the Ground Station, they learned the basics of satellite communication, witnessing firsthand how communication with satellites occurs.

✨️On the Occasion of our 75th Republic Day, Nirmaan-IIST organised a campus visit for the student's of Government Tribal School, Idinjar. As a part of this visit the student's participanted in the Republic Day celebrations at Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology. Later the students visit the Library and Labs in IIST such as Aerodynamics Lab, Advance Optics lab, Geology and Earth Sciences lab. An insightful visit to the Small-Spacecraft Systems and Payload Centre | SSPACE - IIST-ISRO lab and Ground station was undertaken. This visit not only provided them the exposure in various fields of Science but also inspired them to be a responsible citizen of the nation and contribute towards the development of the country 🇮🇳.
