On the auspicious day of Thai first (makara sankranthi day), KBS Puthen Street Vanitha Vibhag gave manjal (raw turmeric) to ladies. It's done for a lengthy and happy married life. Upasabha Vanitha Vibhag President D Latha, Secretary Radhika Subramanian, District Vanitha Vibhag Joint Secretary Bhagavathy Lakshmi and other members took the lead role in the conduct of this function.

Upasabha President K Sreedhar congratulated Dr P Padmesh by wearing with a shawl. Vice President V Subramanian, Secretary V Janardhanan, Treasurer A Radhakrishnan, R Suresh, V Srinivasan, G Veeramony, J Sundaresan, Bhagavathy Lakshmi, Yuvajana Vibhag State Committee Member V Venkatesh were present on the occasion.

KBS State President, Shri. Karimpuzha Raman reached Trivandrum today (19/10) morning. In the morning itself he along with Headquarters Joint Secretary, Sri. Santhanagopalakrishnan , District Secretary Sri. T. S. Mani met Ministers, M/S Sivankutty and Antony Raju and made representation to desist from demolition of agraharam houses for construction of a flyover at Attakulangara, Trivandrum. Sri. Sivankutty sympathised with the cause and assured his support. But pointed out that the issue be first taken with Sri. Antony Raju, who incidentally is the sitting local MLA besides being a minister. We told him that we are indeed meeting him today itself. Accordingly we the proceeded to the residence of Sri. Antony Raju who opined very clearly that if these houses fall in the heritage zone they will not be disturbed. Efforts are on to meet other concerned Government authority and plan to submit memorandums to the above Ministers and all concerned to give up any agraharam land. Today evening Sri. Karimpuzha Raman will visit Puthen Street and address the residence as well as listen to their grievances as well as formulate further action.
