BDO Dadasara — A Collective Dream, A Shared Responsibility

A well-established, permanent Government-owned building for BDO Dadasara is not merely a construction project; it is an investment in the dignity, accessibility and future of public administration in our area.

For CivicDadasara, arriving at a view on its location has been a journey of patience, consultation and collective reflection. Over several months, we reached out to stakeholders at different levels—from the Administration and Revenue authorities to grass-root workers, community representatives and well-wishers. We explored the available spaces across the village, deliberated within our body and even considered the possibility of public fund-raising to help secure a suitable solution.

After weighing the various options, particularly availability, accessibility, feasibility and scope for future augmentation, we have arrived at a considered proposal to support the one-kanal patch of State land at Adabal, identified by the Revenue Department.

Our support is neither a claim nor a demand for any particular locality. It is simply a considered opinion formed in the larger interest of the people.

Yet, democracy thrives on dialogue. There may be different opinions, and we respect them. If anyone has a more suitable, practical and inclusive alternative, CivicDadasara will welcome it with an open mind. Our purpose is not to prevail over others, but to arrive together at what serves the Block best.

Let us therefore keep personal preferences aside and allow wisdom, inclusiveness and public interest to guide the decision.

The BDO belongs to the people; its home should therefore be chosen with the people’s collective good in mind.

A Small Step for Public Convenience — A Collective Effort for a Larger Good

CivicDadasara Standing together for fairness, clarity and community welfare

When an issue touches the daily life of common people, it deserves to be addressed with patience, dialogue and a spirit of mutual understanding.
Following the recent enhancement of public transport fares by the J&K Government, concerns were being expressed by passengers as well as Sumo operators regarding the fares applicable on certain routes. Recognising the need to bring clarity to the matter and avoid unnecessary misunderstanding between passengers and transporters, CivicDadasara took up the issue with the concerned administration and sought an appropriate administrative resolution.
We are happy to share with our community that two important meetings were subsequently held and chaired by the respective Additional Deputy Commissioners, with all concerned stakeholders participating.

TRAL–DADASARA ROUTE
A meeting was chaired by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tral, and attended by representatives of CivicDadasara and Sumo Stand Tral.
After deliberations and with reference to the latest Government order on the subject, it was mutually agreed that the Sumo fare from Main Sumo Stand, Tral to Dadasara, and vice versa, shall be Rs. 18 per passenger.

DADASARA–NOORPORA ROUTE
A second meeting was chaired by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Awantipora, and attended by representatives of CivicDadasara, Sumo Stand Awantipora, besides the representative of ARTO, Pulwama.
After due deliberation, it was resolved that the fare from Dadasara to Noorpora, and vice versa, shall be Rs.15 per passenger.

A message to our community
This may appear to be a small issue, but for a daily passenger, every rupee matters. Equally, the concerns of our transport operators also deserve to be heard and understood.
The purpose of CivicDadasara's intervention was, therefore, not to create a divide between passengers and transporters, but to build a bridge of understanding between them—so that a matter affecting everyday life could be settled fairly, peacefully and transparently.
We sincerely appreciate the Additional Deputy Commissioners of Tral and Awantipora, along with the other concerned officials and representatives of the Sumo Stands, for their constructive participation and cooperation in resolving the matter.

Let us respect what has been mutually resolved.
Let passengers travel without uncertainty and operators work without misunderstanding.
Let dialogue, rather than confrontation, remain our way forward.
The journey of a community is not built by individual voices alone. It becomes stronger when we stand together, speak responsibly and work collectively for the common good.
CivicDadasara remains committed to being a humble but determined voice for the legitimate concerns of our people—through dialogue, democratic engagement and constructive cooperation with the administration.
Together, we can turn public concerns into practical solutions.

Together, we can make our community stronger.

Together for Dadasara – Every Step Counts

Dear brothers, sisters, elders and youth,

With your trust, prayers and unwavering support, a delegation of CivicDadasara visited various government offices on 6th August,2026 to pursue some of the most pressing public issues concerning our village. We believe that every genuine public cause deserves a persistent voice, and every visit is a step towards a better tomorrow.

Education :At the Directorate of School Education, we strongly raised the issue of the staff shortage at GHSS Dadasara. The Joint Director issued directions to the concerned CEO to resolve the matter on priority. We also requested Administrative Approval for the reconstruction of the old school building for GHS.We were assured that the proposal is under active consideration.

Health : The long-pending issue of our ambulance was also taken up. We requested the Health Department to arrange a driver on an outsourcing basis so that this much-needed service can once again become available to our patients and those in emergencies.

Water Supply : The demand for approval of the Water Supply Scheme for Dadasara Halqa " A "was pursued with the concerned authorities, with a request to include it in the current year's UT Annual Plan.

These are not personal pursuits or individual achievements. They are the collective aspirations of every household in Dadasara. Progress comes when a community stands together with one voice, one purpose and one vision.

CivicDadasara belongs to every resident of our village. It has no agenda other than the welfare, dignity and development of our people. We,therefore, humbly appeal to all members of our community to remain united, strengthen this collective platform, and continue extending your valuable support. A united community commands attention, earns respect and achieves results.

We assure you that our efforts will continue with sincerity, patience and determination until these genuine public demands are fulfilled, Insha'Allah.

"When a community walks together, even the longest journey becomes possible."

With gratitude and hope,

Defunct ₹5-Crore ‘Har Ghar Jal’ Project Revived in Dadasara; Borewell Re-Digging Begins
After years of uncertainty and hardship, the long-stalled Jal Jeevan Mission (Har Ghar Jal) pump well project—valued at ₹5 crore—has finally been revived in Dadasara, rekindling hope among residents grappling with an acute drinking water crisis.
The scheme, sanctioned for Dadasara and established at Mirpora to provide safe and potable drinking water to the entire village, received its work order on 07 July 2022. Unfortunately, later that year the borewell dried up, triggering severe water shortages and disrupting the daily lives of villagers. Despite the urgency of the situation, the issue remained unresolved for a prolonged period.
During this testing phase, the CivicDadasara Welfare Council consistently and resolutely took up the matter with the concerned authorities, ensuring that the project did not slip into neglect. These sustained efforts, complemented by the timely intervention and unwavering support of the Hon’ble MLA Tral, Rafiq Ahmad Naik Sahib, ultimately proved instrumental in breaking the impasse.
Owing to this collective resolve—and the cooperative and supportive attitude of households along the approach road in facilitating the removal of bottlenecks—the defunct project has now been restored to life, and re-digging of the borewell has officially commenced.
The people of Dadasara have expressed heartfelt gratitude to MLA Rafiq Ahmad Naik Sahib and the CivicDadasara Welfare Council for transforming a long-pending aspiration into reality and reviving hope for a sustainable solution to the village’s drinking water needs. Notably, another complementary project is also in the pipeline, which is expected to provide significant additional relief in addressing the water challenges faced by the village.

Standing for Girls Education in Dadasara
For more than three years, our Girls High School (GHS) Dadasara has been functioning from a limited number of rooms within HSS Dadasara. While this temporary arrangement allowed continuity in education, it has gradually become insufficient for a growing High School and its students.Throughout this period, this civic body, in close coordination with community elders and parents, has been consistently and responsibly engaging with the Administration to secure a permanent and dignified solution. Considerable effort has gone into pursuing the relocation of GHS Dadasara to its own allotted premises, including navigating procedural and environmental requirements such as the pruning of overhanging chinar trees. These efforts are ongoing, and we remain hopeful that the transition will materialize in the coming months.
In the meantime, and purely in the interest of academic welfare, the civic body has humbly requested only the bare minimum—three rooms to accommodate classes and staff. Recognizing the genuineness of the issue, the Administration issued directions on multiple occasions requesting the temporary sharing of one additional annexed room currently used for non-academic purposes by HSS Dadasara.
On 12 December 2025, the Tehsildar Tral, on the directions of higher authorities, personally visited the site and acknowledged the gravity of the situation.Regrettably, despite sincere efforts and goodwill from all sides, the difficulty continues.
What the community wishes to emphasize is that the CivicDadasara’s approach has always been constructive, patient, and solution-oriented. There has never been any intent to inconvenience another institution. At the same time, proposals suggesting the merger of the two schools initiating from a common time table under the guise of self interested resource sharing cause understandable concern, as the Girls High School is the result of years of collective struggle, advocacy, and sacrifice by the people of Dadasara.
As caretakers of our village institutions, we believe that both schools can flourish without compromising each other, provided temporary adjustments are guided by empathy and administrative wisdom.
This post is shared purely for public awareness, with faith in the system and gratitude for the efforts already made by concerned officers. We look forward to a timely, humane, and balanced resolution that safeguards independent girls’ education and community aspirations.
Together, with patience and cooperation, solutions emerge
