CLLMP MBMA WGH

On 21st Nov 2022, The World Bank ISM Team Mr. Pyush Dogra -ISM Team Leader, Mrs. Geeta Shivdasani- ISM Procurement Specialist, Mr. Jude Xalxo DPD - CLLMP, Mr. Peter Tang -Assistant Manager Procurement Shillong visited Arbella Chidekgre Village under Rongram Block, West Garo Hills District. The Officials who attended the program were APO and Gram Sevikas of Rongram Block including CLLMP DPMU staff from South Garo and South West Garo Hills district.

Chief Minister Shri Conrad K Sangma distributed cheques for the Payment of Ecosystem Services (PES) to selected individuals and communities for Garo Hills on Thursday the 17th Nov 2022 at District Auditorium in Tura.

On 31st October, 2022 , the District staff of West Garo Hills Training Specialist (CoE), Deputy Manager- Environment Management and Programme Associate of Centre of Excellence (CoE) conducted Seed Ball Orientation Programme at Lower Bamonpara under Dalu Block, WGH for 15 VCFs before imparting awareness programme and training on Seed Ball making through live demonstration to the students of 280 Schools from 7 Blocks.

IAS Probationer Shri Sumit Singh, along with CLLMP staffs District Project Manager, Knowledge Management and Environment Management visited Gambegre and Aminda Simsanggre Village under Gambegre Block on 19th Oct 2022, to understand & learn the activities implemented under CLLM Programme & other schemes.
The visit was made to Water Conservation Dam at Matchok Chiring, Community Nursery at Gambegre Songjatchi, Dug Out Pit at Jenggim Bipek, a visit was also made to see Trenches with Plantation at Jamang Chiga-B and Jamang Chikong.

Dr. P Shakil Ahammed, IAS, Principal Secretary, Govt. of Meghalaya, visited Aminda Simsanggre Village under Gambegre Block, West Garo Hills along with CLLMP DPMU Team and Water Resources Officials of West Garo Hills District on 1st Oct 2022.

The visit was made to the various sites in Aminda Simsanggre implemented under the Community Led Landscape Management Project (CLLMP) such as Water Conservation dam with storage tank at Aminda Bisik , CC check dam and water conservation dam with slab and outlet of Marong Chiring 2 , plantations etc.
