TB Mukt Bharat-Udalguri

Under the guidance and iniative of DC Sir,organized a ceremonial distribution of Food baskets to more than 300 nos of on-treatment TB patients adopted by Nikshay Mitras,DC Sir adopted 5nos of patient individually, Ajay Deka,Businessman of Tangla adopted 230 nos of on-treatment TB patients ,Kashyapee Kashyap Assistant Commissioner,Kulbhusan Pegu(Assistant Commissioner), Executive Engineers of PWD,Water Resources,PHE including Contractors also adopted 1 no of on treatment TB patients .

Observed World TB Day 2024 at Udalguri BPHC Conference hall to raise awareness and tackle tuberculosis in collaboration with Piramal foundation..Key participants were DTO,DPM,DCM ,DPC(NCD)PPM Coordinator ,CHO,ANM,Asha and all NTEP staff.Felicitation was done with an appreciation letter and trophy to 5 nos CHOs and ASHAs for their contribution to the National TB Elimination program.

Celebrated International Women’s day with Youth groups of Tebitola village under Udalguri block arranged by Gandhi fellow Batch 15 and district team.A short skit was presented by Youth groups .(Role-A pregnant lady with TB symptoms went to Traditional Health Care Provider for treatment.THCP referred her with sputum cups and referral slip to nearest health center.The lady then visited her nearest health centre with samples where she got counselling about the diseases.)Motto of the skit was to aware the community to go for a test if they get any symptoms. Also Traditional healer Phatu Mardi sensitized the participants about Tuberculosis and measurable steps for prevention.

In collaboration with Udalguri NTEP and Piramal Foundation on 7/2/2024 Block level PRI meeting was held at Bhergaon BPHC under Tangla TU. 51 participants were present which includes DTO,SDM&HO,BPM,BCM,PPM co-ordinator,STS,VCDC Chairmen and staff of Piramal Foundation.
Topics of discussion are Symptoms of TB dsease,ways of prevention and cure,Nikshay Mitra,TB mukt VCDC.Dist NTEP notified the rate of TB on treatment patients and hence distinguished high burden &low burden Vcdcs.Dist team of Piramal explained the process of executing intervention in that particular VCDC & also reaching the maximum remote areas for TB awareness.

On the occasion of Nikshay Diwas Wall painting done by Piramal Foundation in collaboration with NTEP at Bhairabkunda HWC Boundary wall, Udalguri on 17th November 2023.The activity was carried to aware communities about the symptoms of TB.

Observation of Nikshay Diwas at Bhairabkunda M.E School under Udalguri TU." DTO Dr.Dhrubajyoti Pathak,CHO of Bhairabkunda HWC Bidisha Das and Piramal Foundation team(Purabi Khaklary and Catherina Borgoyary) were present.As the theme was "Youth and TB" students of Class 9 and 10 were given awareness on symtoms,prevention,Causes and treatment of Tuberculosis.

Training of TB Champion held at Barengajuli T.E under Tangla TU organized by the team of Piramal Foundation.STS of Tangla TU gave the training where 12 TB survivors from the TE came from training . Certificates are also being distributed to participants who are ready to work for community in order to end TB by 2025.

Nikshay Diwas celebrated at various schools under various HWCs at Udalguri District.Many school students, teachers,Asha ANMs.CHO took part in the celebration.As the theme was"Children and TB".

Fecilitated Nikshay Mitras for providing nutritional supports to TB patients under Udalguri District in presence of DTO,PPM co-ordinator,STS, STLS and staff of partner organization Piramal Foundation.
