On 8th September, 2026, the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, visited the residence of Late Deputy Speaker of Bodoland Territorial Council Legislative Council, respected Bijit Gwra Narzary, at Kumarikata, Chechapani, and paid deep tribute to the departed leader.

In this condolence program, BTC Chief Executive Member Shri Hagrama Mohilary, Hon'ble Cabinet Minister of Assam Government Shri Biswajit Daimary, Hon'ble MLA of Goreswar LAC Shri Victor Kumar Das, Hon'ble Executive Members Shri Ganesh Kachari and Shri Bhajan Das, former MLA Shri Emmanuel Moshahary, nominated Council Member Shri Ridip Kumar Deka, and the Head of Tamulpur District Administration, Smt. Simi Karan, were present.

The untimely demise of Late Bijit Gwra Narzary has created an irreparable void in public life and society. Praying for the eternal peace of his soul and expressing deep condolences to the bereaved family members.

The Executive Council (EC) Meeting of the Bodoland Territorial Council was held in the presence of Hon’ble Chief, BTC, Sjt. Hagrama Mohilary, along with the Hon’ble EMs and Secretaries of all departments.

The meeting focused on reviewing key developmental priorities, strengthening coordination among departments, and ensuring effective governance and timely implementation of initiatives for the people of Bodoland.
