*Udhampur Police recovers stolen property worth over ₹43 Lakh in last 03 months*

​Udhampur

​In a major breakthrough against crime, PS Udhampur has successfully recovered stolen property worth *₹43,15,351/-* over the past three months.

​Through prompt investigations and technical surveillance, Police team of *PS Udhampur* cracked multiple thefts, fraud and burglary cases apprehending the culprits and restoring valuables to their rightful owners.

​It is reported that out of the total stolen property valued at *₹45,33,351/-* registered across various theft and crime cases in PS Udhampur over the *last 3 months* recoveries worth *₹43,15,351/-* were effected.

​The category-wise details of the recovered properties are as follows:

*​Theft Cases:* Stolen property valued at ₹21,35,000/- with a recovery of ₹21,10,000/- (including cattle theft, wire theft, and M.V. theft)

*​ATM Fraud Cases:* Stolen property valued at ₹15,56,500/- with a recovery of ₹13,83,500/-.

*​Burglary Cases:* Stolen property valued at ₹10,61,851/- with a recovery of ₹10,41,851/-, including gold and silver ornaments.

*Udhampur Police Arrests Absconder wanted Since 2017*

Police team of PS Rehambal arrested an absconder namely *Imtiaz Ahmed S/O Ghulam Qadir R/O Bankote, Tehsil Banihal, District Ramban* who was wanted in connection with *FIR No. 19/2017 U/S 188 RPC & 3 PCA Act of PS Rehmbal.*

The accused had been declared an absconder and warrants were issued by the *Hon’ble Sub Judge, Special Mobile Magistrate Udhampur on 30-12-2017.*

*Two Drug Peddlers Arrested with He**in at Phalata by Udhampur Police*

Police team of PS Rehambal while conducting naka checking/frisking duty at Phalata naka point apprehended two persons namely *Showkat Ahmad Lessu S/O Bashir Ahmad Lessu R/O Sheikh Dawood Colony, Batamaloo, Srinagar & Waseem Ahmad Kanday S/O Ali Mohd Kanday R/O Allochi Bagh, Khadi Mill Road, Srinagar.*

During their personal search, *13.7 grams* of he**in along with polypack were recovered from their possession.

Both accused were arrested on the spot and the contraband was also seized.

Continuing its sustained drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Udhampur Police detained one notorious drug peddler namely *Uttam Kumar S/o Kartar Chand R/o Mand, Udhampur* under the provisions of the *PIT-NDPS Act.*

The detention order issued by the competent authority was executed today and the detenue has been lodged in *District Jail, Bhaderwah, Doda.*

*Drug Peddler Arrested with He**in at Tikri by Udhampur Police*

Police party of PP Tikri while conducting naka checking/frisking duty apprehended a person namely *Suraj Badyal S/O Nepal Singh Badyal R/O Lachkhazana Wasser, Tehsil & District Kishtwar* who was coming from Jammu side and going towards Udhampur side by foot.

During his checking, 6.43 grams of he**in were recovered from his possession.

The accused was arrested on the spot and the contraband was also seized.

*Two Drug Peddlers Arrested with He**in at Phalata by Udhampur Police*

Police team of PS Rehambal while conducting naka checking at Phalata Naka point intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration No.PB07CE0966.

During checking, the occupants of the motorcycle were identified as *Akash Kumar S/O Surjeet Kumar R/O Housing Colony, Udhampur and Ajay Singh S/O Balbir Singh R/O Shiv Nagar, Udhampur.*

Upon their personal search, 5.22 grams of he**in were recovered from their possession.

Both accused were arrested on the spot and the contraband was also seized.
