Nodal Secretary for Air Pollution Mitigation, East District, Shri V. K. Bidhuri, inspected the Anand Vihar pollution hotspot and AQI monitoring station today. Officials from MCD, DPCC, Revenue, PWD, DMRC, Transport, Delhi Police and other departments were present to review pollution mitigation measures and ensure coordinated efforts towards improving air quality.

🧹✨ Mega Sanitation Drive at Lohe Ka Pul
A mega sanitation drive was conducted today at Lohe Ka Pul area with the aim of ensuring a cleaner, healthier and more hygienic environment for residents.

The drive was undertaken under the guidance of the Hon’ble Chairperson, Standing Committee, with sanitation teams working on the ground to improve cleanliness and public hygiene.

🌿 Working Towards Cleaner Air in East Delhi
Inspected the AQI monitoring stations at Patparganj, CWG Khelgaon and Anand Vihar and reviewed their functioning.

Also took stock of the day-to-day arrangements and activities being undertaken by MCD East Zone to mitigate air pollution and help maintain better ambient air quality.

Continuous monitoring, effective implementation and coordinated action are essential to building a cleaner and healthier Delhi. 🌱

🧹 Preparations Underway for Swachhata Hi Seva 2026
A preparatory meeting was held today under the chairmanship of DC East, Shahdara South Zone, with all Heads of Departments (HoDs) to review the preparations for the month-long Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2026.

During the meeting, roles and responsibilities were clearly defined, targets were assigned, and timelines were set to ensure coordinated and effective implementation of the campaign.

Multi Stakeholder Meeting conducted today under the chairmanship of Shri V K Bidhuri IAS with a focus on Air Pollution Control measures to be adopted in East Zone. DM East, DCP East, ACP Traffic, representatives from PWD, DJB, DSIIDC, ISBT, Railways, Transport Dept etc were in attendance.

The Deputy Commissioner, East Zone, reviewed key preparedness and civic management issues during a meeting held today, 25.08.2026.
The review focused on:

Preparedness and measures to tackle air pollution
Malaria prevention and IEC activities
Condition of roads and repair of potholes
Management of C&D waste
Overall sanitation and cleanliness in the East Zone
The review underlines the commitment towards a cleaner, healthier and better-managed East Zone through timely action and coordinated efforts.
