●On January 22, 2003, the PUKMEDIA website was launched in Kurdish and Arabic by the decision of the PUK Media Bureau.
●Soon after its founding, PUKMEDIA established itself as a trustworthy source for information on the events that followed the liberation of Iraq. PUKMEDIA employed a team of professional journalists and ser
ved as the foundation for all Arab and foreign agencies.
●PUKMEDIA expanded in 2005, and the website now offers content in Kurdish, Arabic, English, Persian, Turkish, and Kurmanji Kurdish (written in Latin script).
●Initially, PUKMEDIA expanded its operations by sending reporters to Kurdistan, Baghdad, Tehran, Germany, Norway, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden, Syria, Canada, Egypt, the UK, Turkey, and Ukraine. The website hired more than 150 reporters to provide readers with information.
●PUKMEDIA is currently in its new season. It is available in English, Arabic, Kurdish, Sorani, and Kurmanji, and acts as the PUK's official and trustworthy source of news and positions. This media platform publishes official news as well as the perspective of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK). Sulaymaniyah will host the Delphi Economic Forum on 6–7 June under the supervision of Deputy PM Qubad Talabani, bringing together regional and international leaders to discuss security, energy, economic reform, and investment opportunities.
Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Haibat al-Halbusi received a delegation from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) lawmakers.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the political situation in the country and stressed the importance of cooperation among political parties to pass a number of important laws affecting the lives of citizens. They also emphasised the need to strengthen the oversight role of the parliament.

U.S. President’s Special Envoy to Iraq, Tom Barrack, congratulated Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi following the announcement by Iraqi militias that they would disband and integrate into state institutions.
Barrack wrote in a post on X: "We extend our congratulations to Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Falih al-Zaidi on this significant step forward, which represents the nascent foundation for a renewed Iraqi self-governance — grounded in restored sovereignty, enduring stability, and the promise of national renewal.
