🇸🇪 نحتفل اليوم بالذكرى الخمسمائة للسويد - 500 عام! 🇸🇪

إنه العيد الوطني للسويد! في مثل هذا اليوم قبل 500 عام، تم انتخاب جوستاف فاسا ملكًا للسويد. بعد انتخابه، غادرت السويد اتحاد كالمار مع الدنمارك والنرويج.

تحتفل السويد بعيدها الوطني في هذا التاريخ منذ عام 1983، ومنذ عام 2005 يُعتبر هذا اليوم عطلة رسمية.

عام 2023 هو حقًا عام اليوبيل بالنسبة للسويد. يصادف هذا العام أيضًا مرور 50 عامًا على تولي جلالة الملك كارل السادس عشر غوستاف، حاكم السويد الحالي وصاحب أطول فترة حكم.

🇸🇪 Today we celebrate Sweden’s quincentenary – that’s 500 years! 🇸🇪

It’s Sweden’s National Day! On this day 500 years ago, Gustav Vasa was elected King of Sweden. Following his election, Sweden left the Kalmar Union with Denmark and Norway.

Sweden has celebrated its National Day on this date since 1983, and since 2005 it’s been a public holiday.

2023 truly is a jubilee year for Sweden. This year also marks 50 years on the throne for His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf, Sweden’s current and longest reigning monarch.

Vacancy - Embassy of Sweden in Baghdad – Consular, Visa and Administrative Assistant

Sweden enjoys broad relations with Iraq. The Embassy´s responsibilities include political dialogue, development, humanitarian and consular assistance, trade as well as strengthening links between people and organizations in Sweden and Iraq. The Embassy is now looking to recruit a consular, visa and administrative assistant working full time.

The main duties will be:

- Receives incoming calls concerning passport applications.

- Administrates and receives visa applicants.

- Assists with paternity cases.

- Assists with citizen declarations.

- Assists with handing out passports.

- Assists with consular cases.

- Assists in managing the Embassy Facebook and other social media.

- Assists in other matters as required.

- Secondary responsibility for other administrative matters.

The employee we look for should have the following skills:

- An academic degree (political science, administration or equivalent).
- Experience from previous consular, visa and administrative work or equivalent work experience.
- Fluency in English.
- Experience and skill in translating from Arabic to English and from English to Arabic.
- Good organizational skills and ability to plan, prepare and organize relevant tasks within a given deadline.
- Knowledge and skills with social media.
- Good people skills, stress tolerant, service-minded, reliable, flexible.
- Must be able to work outside of office hours if required.

The following skills are favorable:

- Fluency in Swedish.
- Proven experience in providing support and advice to international staff functions.

The Embassy is offering:

- Salary depending on experience.

The position:

The position is full-time (37, 5 hours per week).

Preferred starting date is August 15, 2023.

If you are offered the position, there will be a probationary period of 6 months.

يرسل التقرير الصادر عن اللجنة الحكومية الدولية المعنية بتغير المناخ (IPCC) إشارة واضحة إلى العالم مفادها أنه يجب تحسين العمل المناخي بشكل كبير. الفوائد الاجتماعية والاقتصادية تفوق التكاليف. بصفتها صاحب رئاسة مجلس الاتحاد الأوروبي، تدفع السويد دول العالم إلى زيادة التزاماتها المناخية.
يحدد تقرير الفريق الحكومي الدولي المعني بتغير المناخ (IPCC) مرة أخرى أدلة علمية واضحة على أنه يجب على جميع البلدان تحسين إجراءاتها المناخية بشكل جذري. يأتي التقرير واستنتاجاته في وقت مناسب لإبلاغ التقييم العالمي الأول، الذي سيقيم الجهود العالمية للتصدي لتغير المناخ فيما يتعلق بالأهداف طويلة الأجل لاتفاقية باريس.

In our capacity as holder of the Presidency of the Council of the EU, Sweden upholds the EU’s role as a global actor. Together we show leadership and solidarity with the people in Türkiye and Syria after the devastating earthquakes.
It is crucial that the international community jointly supports the affected populations after the . Millions have lost family members and homes. Needs are immense. Sweden & EU are committed to long-term support.
