New MCC website launched – Fjölmenningarsetur 27/03/2023

A new website for the Multicultural Information Centre has now been opened.

It’s our hope that it will make it even easier for immigrants, refugees, and others to find useful information.

The website provides information about many aspects of everyday life, rights, and services in Iceland while also providing support regarding moving to and from Iceland.

Filing a tax return 07/03/2023

We recently posted news about taxes... and we would just like to update our reminder and provide a little more information linked in directly to our friends at the Icelandic Revenue and Customs office.

On the link below you will find helpful information about filing a tax return. If you worked or received any sort of benefits (social services, unemployment, maternity/paternity leave included) in Iceland last year you must remember to file your tax return, even if you moved out of the country.

On the webpage below there are pdf. brochures with well-documented examples in Russian, Spanish, Arabic, English, Polish, Icelandic, and Lithuanian with In the brochures are simple instructions on how to file a basic tax return.

LS Retail Future Leaders Progam is accepting applications to welcome 2 new Computer Science students!

This program covers full tuition from the beginning of the program until graduation and includes customized mentorship with LS Retail staff, a paid internship, and career search support (networking, CV help, mock recruitments etc.).

It is aimed specifically towards students that are underrepresented in our IT industry and the local labor market in Iceland, including Women and LGBTQ+ identities, People living with disabilities, People of diverse ethnic backgrounds, and People of foreign origin, and/or intercultural backgrounds.
