Mælst er til þess að oddvitar framboða stofni söfnun en nafn þeirra og fæðingardagur birtist sem stofnandi söfnunar.
Einnig er heimilt að safna meðmælum á pappír en mælst er til þess að þau séu slegin inn í rafræna meðmælendakerfið áður en frumritum meðmælanna er skilað inn ásamt framboðstilkynningu. Hér er sniðmát að söfnun meðmæla á pappír sem framboð geta nýtt sér.

The Mýrdalshrepp Electoral Board has opened an electronic collection of recommendations for candidacies for the local government on the Ísland.is website. Create a collection of recommendations for candidacies for the local government | Ísland.is
It is recommended that campaign leaders establish a fundraiser, with their name and date of birth appearing as the fundraiser's founder.
It is also permitted to collect recommendations on paper, but it is recommended that they be entered into the electronic recommendation system before the originals of the recommendations are submitted along with the candidacy announcement. Here is a template for collecting recommendations on paper that candidacies can use.
