Naval Support Activity (NSA) Naples is aware of ongoing trucking demonstrations, transportation disruptions, and reported fuel shortages throughout southern Italy and is implementing contingency measures to mitigate their impacts, safeguard personnel, and minimize disruptions to base operations.

NSA Naples is maximizing alternative work arrangements from October 22 through Friday, October 23, consistent with mission requirements. Supported mission partners are implementing similar measures based on their respective operational requirements. Installation leadership will determine next week's work posture by close of business Friday, October 23.

NSA Naples remains fully mission capable and continues supporting its mission partners while coordinating with service providers to minimize disruptions to base services. The safety, security, and well-being of our service members, civilian employees, Italian partners, and families remain our highest priority.

Consistent with U.S. Department of State guidance, personnel and families are encouraged to avoid demonstrations, remain vigilant, monitor local conditions, and adjust travel plans as necessary.

Personnel should consult their chain of command for guidance on work arrangements and monitor official NSA Naples communication channels for additional updates as conditions evolve. In an emergency, dial 112 for Italian emergency services or contact NSA Naples Emergency Dispatch, available 24/7, at +39-081-568-4911.
