وزير الخارجية يتلقى اتصالاً هاتفياً من المدير العام للوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية ويؤكد موقف العراق الداعم لأمن واستقرار المنطقة

تلقى وزير الخارجية، السيد فؤاد حسين، يوم الجمعة الموافق 12 حزيران 2026، اتصالاً هاتفياً من المدير العام للوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية، السيد رفائيل ماريانو غروسي.

وخلال الاتصال، قدم السيد غروسي تهانيه إلى السيد فؤاد حسين بمناسبة تجديد الثقة به وزيراً للخارجية، مؤكداً أن استمرار توليه هذا المنصب يعكس نهجاً يسهم في تعزيز استقرار السياسة الخارجية العراقية وتطوير علاقات العراق مع مختلف دول العالم.

كما ناقش الجانبان تطورات الأوضاع في المنطقة، والجهود الأخيرة المبذولة للتوصل إلى توقيع مذكرة تفاهم بين الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية والجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية، بما يسهم في خفض حدة التوتر وتعزيز فرص الاستقرار الإقليمي. وتبادلا وجهات النظر بشأن مضامين أي تفاهمات محتملة وانعكاساتها على أمن المنطقة، مؤكدين أن شعوب المنطقة تتطلع إلى ترسيخ دعائم السلم والأمن وتجنب المزيد من التصعيد.

وتناول الاتصال الهجمات التي استهدفت عدداً من الدول الخليجية، حيث أكد السيد الوزير موقف العراق الثابت الرافض لتوسيع رقعة الحرب أو زعزعة أمن واستقرار المنطقة. كما جرى بحث الهجوم الذي تعرضت له محطة “براكة” للطاقة النووية في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، إذ جدد السيد فؤاد حسين إدانة العراق لهذا الهجوم، مؤكداً رفض بغداد القاطع لأي اعتداء يستهدف المنشآت المدنية والحيوية.

وأشار السيد الوزير إلى استعداد العراق للتعاون مع الدول الخليجية الشقيقة من خلال تشكيل لجان تحقيق مختصة ومشتركة، بهدف المساهمة في تحديد الجهات المسؤولة عن تلك الهجمات، بما يعزز الأمن الجماعي ويحافظ على استقرار المنطقة.

وفي ختام الاتصال، أعرب السيد فؤاد حسين عن شكره وتقديره للسيد رفائيل ماريانو غروسي على تهنئته واتصاله، مثمناً الجهود التي يبذلها في دعم الحوار وتعزيز الثقة، بما يسهم في تطوير علاقات العراق مع محيطه الإقليمي، ولا سيما مع دول الخليج العربي، وفي مقدمتها دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives Phone Call from the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency and Reaffirms Iraq’s Support for Regional Security and Stability

On Friday, 12 June 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, received a telephone call from the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, H.E. Mr. Rafael Mariano Grossi.

During the call, H.E. Mr. Grossi congratulated H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein on the renewal of confidence in him as Minister of Foreign Affairs, noting that his continued tenure reflects an approach that contributes to the stability of Iraq’s foreign policy and the further development of Iraq’s relations with countries around the world.

The two sides also discussed developments in the region and the recent efforts aimed at reaching and signing a memorandum of understanding between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, which could help reduce tensions and enhance prospects for regional stability. They also exchanged views on the content of any potential understandings and their implications for regional security, emphasizing that the peoples of the region aspire to strengthen the foundations of peace and security and avoid further escalation.

The call further addressed the attacks that targeted a number of Gulf countries. H.E. the Minister reaffirmed Iraq’s firm position rejecting any expansion of the conflict or any actions that could undermine the security and stability of the region. The two sides also discussed the attack on the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the United Arab Emirates, with H.E. the Minister reiterating Iraq’s condemnation of the attack and stressing Baghdad’s categorical rejection of any aggression targeting civilian and vital infrastructure.

H.E. the Minister further expressed Iraq’s readiness to cooperate with its Gulf partners through the establishment of specialized joint investigative committees aimed at helping identify those responsible for these attacks, thereby contributing to collective security and preserving regional stability.

At the conclusion of the call, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein expressed his appreciation to H.E. Mr. Grossi for his congratulations and outreach, commending his efforts in supporting dialogue and confidence-building measures. He also underscored the importance of these efforts in strengthening Iraq’s relations with its regional environment, particularly with the Gulf states, foremost among them the United Arab Emirates.

وزير الخارجية يستذكر شهداء مجزرة سبايكر الإرهابية في ذكراها الأليمة

نستذكر بكل حزن وإجلال أبناء العراق الذين ارتقوا شهداء في الذكرى الأليمة لمجزرة سبايكر الإرهابية، إحدى أبشع الجرائم التي استهدفت أبناء وطننا وأدمت ضمير الإنسانية.

إن دماءهم الطاهرة ستبقى شاهداً على وحشية الإرهاب، ورمزاً للتضحية والصمود والفداء من أجل العراق. وستظل هذه الفاجعة حاضرة في الذاكرة الوطنية، بما يؤكد أهمية مواصلة الجهود لتحقيق العدالة وإنصاف الضحايا وذويهم، وصون حقوق الشهداء الذين قدموا أرواحهم دفاعاً عن الوطن.

الرحمة لشهدائنا الأبرار، والصبر والسلوان لعوائلهم الكريمة، وسيبقى العراق موحداً وقوياً بإرادة أبنائه وتضحياتهم.

FM Commemorates the Martyrs of the Tragic Speicher Massacre on Its Painful Anniversary

With profound sorrow and reverence, we remember the sons of the Republic of Iraq who were martyred in the tragic terrorist massacre of Speicher, one of the most heinous crimes committed against our nation and a tragedy that deeply wounded the conscience of humanity.

Their pure blood will forever stand as a testament to the brutality of terrorism and as a symbol of sacrifice, steadfastness, and devotion to Iraq. This painful event will remain firmly embedded in our national memory, underscoring the importance of continuing efforts to achieve justice, provide redress for the victims and their families, and uphold the rights of the martyrs who gave their lives in defense of the homeland.

May our righteous martyrs rest in peace, and may their honorable families be granted patience and solace. Iraq will remain united and strong through the determination and sacrifices of its sons.

أقامت سفارتي جمهورية العراق لدى الجمهورية الإيطالية والكرسي الرسولي، وبمشاركة الملحقيات الفنية العراقية في إيطاليا، يوم الجمعة الموافق 12 حزيران 2026، وقفة صمت وحداد في مبنى السفارة بالعاصمة الإيطالية روما، استذكاراً لأرواح شهداء مجزرة سبايكر الارهابية، وتخليداً لتضحياتهم البطولية دفاعاً عن العراق وشعبه.

افتتحت مراسم الوقفة بكلمة ألقاها السيد رئيس البعثة الدكتور دياري احمد مجيد، استذكر فيها التضحيات الجسيمة التي قدمها شهداء مجزرة سبايكر الارهابية، مؤكداً أن ذكراهم ستبقى حاضرة في وجدان العراقيين، وأن تضحياتهم تمثل رمزاً للفداء والإخلاص للوطن. كما أكد على وحدة الشعب العراقي في مواجهة التحديات، مجدداً إدانة الإرهاب والتطرف بكافة أشكاله وصوره، وضرورة مواصلة الجهود الرامية إلى ترسيخ قيم الأمن والاستقرار.

عقب ذلك، تمت قراءة سورة الفاتحة ترحماً على أرواح الشهداء الأبرار، تلتها دقيقة صمت إجلالاً لتضحياتهم واستذكاراً لمآثرهم.

واختُتمت الوقفة بالدعاء للشهداء بالرحمة والمغفرة، ولعوائلهم بالصبر والسلوان، وللعراق وشعبه دوام الأمن والاستقرار والازدهار.

شارك ‏القائم ‏بأعمال المندوبية الدائمة لجمهورية العراق لدى وكالات الأمم المتحدة في روما د. دياري أحمد مجيد يرافقه كادر المندوبية، في اجتماعات الدورة 181 لمجلس منظمة الأغذية والزراعة للأمم المتحدة التي عقدت في مقر المنظمة في روما للمدة ٨-١٢ حزيران ٢٠٢٦، والتي شهدت مشاركة واسعة من ممثليات الدول الاعضاء وكبار المسؤولين الاممين إلى جانب ممثلين عن المنظمات الدولية

وجرى خلال دورة المجلس مناقشة أوضاع الأمن الغذائي العالمي وتأثير الأزمات والنزاعات والتغيرات المناخية على النظم الزراعية والغذائية، كما تم استعراض استجابة المنظمة لحالات الطوارئ، وبحث قضايا التنمية الزراعية المستدامة والاقتصاد الحيوي، إضافة إلى مراجعة أداء وبرامج المنظمة والمسائل المالية والإدارية، والتحضير لبرنامج العمل والميزانية للفترة المقبلة بما يراعي أولويات الأقاليم المختلفة

‏وألقى د. دياري خلال الاجتماعات بالنيابة عن مجموعة الشرق الأدنى وشمال إفريقيا الإقليمية كلمة حول تقرير الدورة ١٤٢ للجنة البرنامج اكد فيها على التحديات التي تواجهها دول الشرق الأدنى وشمال أفريقيا والدعوة إلى تعزيز الصمود والأمن الغذائي، وتطوير أنظمة الإنذار المبكر، وزيادة فعالية التعاون الفني وتوزيع موارده بشكل أكثر توازناً. كما شدد على ضرورة أن يعكس برنامج العمل والميزانية ٢٠٢٧-٢٠٢٨ أولويات الأقاليم وأن يوفر المرونة اللازمة للاستجابة للتحديات المتسارعة

واطّلع السيد عراقجي وزيرَ الخارجية على آخر التطورات المتعلقة بالحرب الجارية، مقدماً شرحاً مفصلاً بشأن أسباب الرد الإيراني الأخير على الهجوم (الإسرائيلي).

وناقش الجانبان توقعات رد الفعل (الإسرائيلي) خلال المرحلة المقبلة، كما تطرقا إلى مسار الحوار بين إيران والولايات المتحدة وآفاقه المستقبلية.

وبحث الوزيران مجمل الأوضاع في المنطقة، وأكدا أهمية تكثيف الجهود الدبلوماسية لخفض التوتر وتعزيز الاستقرار الإقليمي، بما في ذلك التواصل مع الدول الأوروبية للاضطلاع بدور فاعل في دعم مساعي السلام.

وفي ختام الاتصال، اتفق الجانبان على مواصلة التواصل والتنسيق بشأن القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك والتطورات في المنطقة .

FM Fuad Hussein Receives Briefing from Counterpart Abbas Araghchi on Iran’s Response Reasons and Potential Implications

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, received a telephone call on Sunday evening, 7 June 2026, from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Mr. Abbas Araghchi.

During the call, H.E. Mr. Araghchi briefed the Minister on the latest developments related to the ongoing conflict, providing a detailed explanation of the reasons behind Iran’s recent response to the Israeli attack.

The two sides also discussed expectations regarding (Israel’s) potential response in the coming period and exchanged views on the course of dialogue between Iran and the United States and its future prospects.

The two ministers further reviewed the overall situation in the region and emphasized the importance of intensifying diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions and promoting regional stability, including engagement with European countries to play an active role in supporting peace efforts.

At the conclusion of the call, the two sides agreed to maintain communication and coordination on issues of mutual interest and on developments in the region.

فؤاد حسين يؤكد لنظيرته الأيرلندية عزم العراق طرح مقترح لدور أوروبي في إنهاء الحرب خلال اجتماع عمّان

تلقى وزير الخارجية السيد فؤاد حسين، يوم الخميس الموافق 4 حزيران 2026، اتصالاً هاتفياً من وزيرة خارجية أيرلندا السيدة هيلين ماكنتي، قدّمت خلاله التهاني للسيد الوزير بمناسبة تجديد الثقة به وتوليه مهام وزارة الخارجية لولاية جديدة.

وجرى خلال الاتصال بحث العلاقات العراقية – الأيرلندية وسبل تطويرها وتعزيز التعاون المشترك بين البلدين، إلى جانب مناقشة التطورات الإقليمية والدولية وانعكاسات الحرب الدائرة في المنطقة على الأوضاع السياسية والاقتصادية.

واستعرض السيد فؤاد حسين التأثيرات المباشرة للحرب على العراق، ولا سيما في الجوانب الاقتصادية والمالية، مشيراً إلى التداعيات السلبية التي خلّفتها على حركة التجارة والطاقة والاستقرار الاقتصادي في المنطقة. كما تناول الجانبان مسألة وقف إطلاق النار، والهجمات الأخيرة في منطقة الخليج، وانعكاس استمرار الحرب على الاقتصاد العالمي وأسواق الطاقة.

وأكد الطرفان أهمية تكثيف الجهود الدولية الرامية إلى وقف الحرب ومنع اتساع نطاقها، بما يسهم في تعزيز الأمن والاستقرار الإقليمي والدولي.

وفي هذا السياق، طرح السيد فؤاد حسين فكرة ضرورة أن يبادر الاتحاد الأوروبي إلى إطلاق مبادرة سياسية تهدف إلى إنهاء الحرب، مشيراً إلى أنه ناقش هذه الفكرة مع نظيره الهولندي، ويعتزم مواصلة التشاور بشأنها مع عدد من وزراء خارجية الدول الأوروبية خلال الفترة المقبلة.

وأوضح السيد الوزير أن العراق سيعمل على بلورة هذه المبادرة وطرحها خلال الاجتماع المرتقب الذي سيعقد في العاصمة الأردنية عمّان خلال الشهر الجاري، بمشاركة وزراء خارجية الدول العربية ونظرائهم الأوروبيين.

وأشار إلى أن أوروبا تمتلك المقومات التي تؤهلها للقيام بدور فاعل في هذا المجال، نظراً لعلاقاتها واتصالاتها مع مختلف العواصم المعنية والمتأثرة بالحرب، مؤكداً أن الاكتفاء بسياسة المراقبة لم يعد خياراً مقبولاً في ظل اتساع تداعيات الأزمة.

وأضاف أن العراق يعد من أكثر الدول تضرراً من استمرار الحرب، خصوصاً على الصعيدين الاقتصادي والمالي، نتيجة التأثيرات التي طالت قطاع الطاقة وإمكانات تصدير النفط، لافتاً إلى أن الدول الأوروبية تتأثر بدورها بتداعيات الأزمة، حيث أسهم ارتفاع أسعار النفط في زيادة معدلات التضخم وارتفاع كلف المنتجات الزراعية والصناعية في الأسواق الأوروبية.

وأكد السيد فؤاد حسين أن العراق سيعرض رؤيته بشأن الدور الذي يمكن لأوروبا أن تضطلع به للمساهمة في وقف الحرب وتحقيق الاستقرار خلال اجتماع عمّان المقبل.

Fuad Hussein Affirms to His Irish Counterpart Iraq’s Intention to Present a Proposal for a European Role in Ending the War at the Amman Meeting

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein, received a phone call on Thursday, 4 June 2026, from Ireland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Ms. Helen McEntee, who extended her congratulations to H.E. the Minister on the renewal of confidence in him and his appointment to a new term as Foreign Minister.

During the call, the two sides discussed Iraqi-Irish relations and ways to develop and enhance cooperation between the two countries, in addition to reviewing regional and international developments and the repercussions of the ongoing war in the region on political and economic conditions.

H. E. Mr. Fuad Hussein reviewed the direct effects the war has on Iraq, particularly in the economic and financial fields, noting the negative consequences it has had on trade, energy, and economic stability in the region. The two sides also discussed the issue of a ceasefire, the recent attacks in the Gulf region, and the impact of the continuation of the war on the global economy and energy markets.

Both sides stressed the importance of intensifying international efforts aimed at ending the war and preventing its expansion, in a manner that contributes to enhancing regional and international security and stability.

In this context, H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein raised the idea of the European Union taking the initiative to launch a political effort aimed at ending the war, noting that he had discussed this idea with his Dutch counterpart and intends to continue consultations on the matter with a number of European foreign ministers in the coming period.

H.E. the Minister explained that Iraq will work to further develop this initiative and present it during the upcoming meeting to be held in Amman later this month, with the participation of Arab foreign ministers and their European counterparts.

H.E. pointed out that Europe possesses the qualifications necessary to play an effective role in this regard, given its relations and contacts with the various capitals concerned with and affected by the war, stressing that a policy of observation alone is no longer an acceptable option in light of the expanding repercussions of the crisis.

H.E. added that Iraq is among the countries most affected by the continuation of the war, particularly on the economic and financial levels, due to the impact on the energy sector and oil export capabilities. H.E. noted that European countries are likewise affected by the repercussions of the crisis, as rising oil prices have contributed to increased inflation rates and higher costs of agricultural and industrial products in European markets.

H.E. Mr. Fuad Hussein affirmed that Iraq will present its vision regarding the role that Europe can play in contributing to ending the war and achieving stability during the forthcoming Amman meeting.

At the conclusion of the call, H.E. the Minister expressed his thanks and appreciation to H.E. Ms. Helen McEntee for her kind call and the congratulatory sentiments H.E. conveyed.
