🚨 Major First Aid Update Coming 2027

The First Aid Awarding Organisation Forum (FAAOF) has announced that Catastrophic Bleeding will become a mandatory assessment in all first aid qualifications by 31st March 2027.

This is a vital step forward for public safety and one we’ve been ahead of since day one.

At NAPA Medical, we recognised from our inception in 2024 that catastrophic bleeding control is not optional. It’s a life‑saving skill that every first aider should have. That’s why we’ve always included Catastrophic Bleeding as part of our training and assessment. Because when seconds matter, people deserve first aiders who know how to stop the bleed.

We’re proud that our learners have been trained to this standard long before it became mandatory and soon, every first aider across the UK will be equipped with the same essential skill.

And a gentle reminder…

If your training provider isn’t prepared to deliver Catastrophic Bleeding training by the deadline above, you may want to question the professionalism, and priorities, of that organisation.

🏡Maison des Amis Officially Opens Its Doors! 💚

We are delighted to announce that Maison des Amis was officially opened yesterday by our patrons, His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor and Lady Kyd.

It was a wonderful occasion, celebrating the completion of our new specialised nursing facility, designed to provide dedicated, person-centred care for people with learning disabilities and complex needs.

The opening marked an exciting milestone for Les Amis, showcasing the fantastic facility and recognising the hard work and support that have helped bring this vision to life.

A huge thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. We are incredibly proud to see Maison des Amis open its doors and look forward to the positive difference it will make. 💚

The 'We See You' initiative brings together Channel Islands Air Search, Guernsey Mind and Mind Jersey, highlighting the importance of talking about mental health and supporting those who may be struggling.

✈️ The campaign follows figures showing that 42% of Channel Islands Air Search call-outs involve missing people, many of whom are experiencing mental health challenges.
