Our inspection reports are just one part of how we provide independent assurance about the quality and safety of health and social care services in Jersey.

In these reports we do not use ratings or scores. Instead, our reports set out clear, evidence-based findings describing what is working well and where improvements are needed.

We do this because a single overall rating can quickly become out of date and may not reflect the full complexity of a service. Instead our approach provides an explanation of findings, helping to support transparency, accountability and continual improvement over time.
