A short wreath laying service will be held at 1pm today, at the Cenotaph, St Helier, to commemorate the 81st anniversary of D-Day.
The public are warmly invited to attend and it is hoped that the timing of the service will allow more people to come and joins us as we remember the bravery, sacrifice, and resilience shown by so many.

The Liberation commemorations continue thanks to Jersey Heritage.
If you were with us on Liberation Day you may already have seen this excellent video which encapsulates everything that we loved about the island’s first Liberation Games.
Over four days year six primary school children participated in a variety of different games and activities to give them a flavour of the variety of sports that are available to them on island.
Thanks to Jersey Sport for their brilliant organisation and Butterfield for their sponsorship which allowed the Games to take place.

We were asked by a number of people on Liberation Day about purchasing commemorative pin badges. We're delighted to say that a small number are still available to purchase for £2 at the Town Hall.
The proceeds from the sale of the badges is going to Age Concern Jersey.
