🚨PUBLIC NOTICE 🚨

HOLYWELL AND PORTLAND GAP REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

The Jamaica Conservation and Development Trust (JCDT) wishes to advise that both Holywell and Portland Gap recreational areas will remain closed until further notice following the passage of Hurricane Melissa.

The primary access routes to these sites have been severely damaged, and infrastructure, trees, and other natural features within the park have also been significantly impacted. Our teams are working to assess the full extent of the damage as soon as safe access becomes possible.

Rebuilding will take tremendous time, effort and resources, and we are calling on our valued visitors, partners and supporters to consider donating towards our recovery efforts. Your contribution will help us restore safe access, repair facilities and rehabilitate the natural environment of the Blue and John Crow Mountains National Park.
