When we drink a glass of water, write in a notebook, take medicine for a fever, or build a house, we don't always make the connection with forests.

Yet, they are key to these and many other aspects of our lives in one way or another.

🌳 Stop for a second and take in the sprawling crown and massive trunk of this majestic baobab tree.

🌳 Now close your eyes and imagine the amounts of CO2 it absorbs from the atmosphere and stores...in its leaves, its trunk, its roots, and the soil around it.

🌳 The number can be anywhere from a low of 10kg per year to as much as 167kg per year or more, depending on the age, size and type of tree, among other variables.

🌳 Multiply that by a grove, an orchard, a forest...

Takeaway? Let’s get planting! 🌳🌲🌴🌳🌲🌴🌳🌲🌴🌳🌲🌴
