The CMC has 22 elected representatives who meet on a monthly basis to discuss matters affecting the parish.

Councillor Scean Barnswell () was formally recognised for his vigilance and bravery in apprehending a suspect kidnapper, an act that ultimately led to the saving of a child’s life. He was presented with a plaque by the Mayor of May Pen, Councillor Joel Williams.

Also present on stage were the Member of Parliament for South East Clarendon, Pearnel Charles Jr.; Councillor for the York Town Division, Anthony Davis; Councillor for the Spalding Division, Trevor Gordon; and CEO Rowhan Blake.
